I have a 33 year old friend who still gets influenced by rap music.
He said "that new weeknd and future song makes me want to party, do drugs and fukk bytches"
Most music artists use drugs
This is a fact
It is because art naturally spawns from a place of depression and music becomes the outlet of said depression. Pain fuels art and drugs numb pain. The grunge rock and metal music are the most expressive forms of rock in my life and their artists OD all day. Hip hop is no different
"I'm taking Acatavis the only thing relax me"
"Im an addict i cant even hide it"
he is telling the truth, he has a problem...just like Layne Staley of Alice in chains did for most of his career, like on "junkhead"
This isn't a hip hop or a black community problem. Its a music industry NORM and always has been.
Thank goodness for TPAB tbh. Album can at the right time and I gotta admit it inspires meIts all about having knowledge of our history:

Once you gain awareness of certain things of the past it makes TODAY make better sense. Ive had a complete change of consciousness the past year after studying ways in which the white man has oppressed us in the past. And one of those ways has always been MEDIA PROPAGANDA and the INTENTIONAL manipulation of the black image. They are doing this using hiphop.
Ask yourself: who controls and dictates hiphop? Who signs your favorite rappers checks? WE LOST CONTROL OF HIPHOP. Our oppressors now control it. It would not be in their best interest to flood the airwaves with music that inspires and motivates positively. It would not be in their best interest to give artists that promotes intelligence, education and responsible spending habits the majority platform.
You gotta keep in mind that whte supremacy thrives on black people's ignrance and our materialism. The music reflects this
I LOVE hiphop. Grew up listening to it. Im probably one of the bigger "hiphop heads" here to be honest, but it pains me to see it being used against us.
To control a mass group of people you must gain control of their minds. You read the example on the 1st page. It works. Music and fancy imagery is extremely powerful and effective.

wrong:
It's true. But thankfully the critics love the album, it's selling very well and the grammys just gave it 11 nominations. Which all increases the album's exposure. Every black person needs to listen to tpab and I'm sure in the upcoming years TPAB will be an essential album for blacks to listen to just like thriller. The black youth needs to hear this shyt. I admit that Ds2 is some dope shyt but tpab literally transcends music. That first listen had meThat positive inspiration is what they DONT want on a mass scale amongst blacks
