I can't even front, the thread title is powerful OP. Think about it, if you were a private prison operator, what would you fund? It would definitely be anything that encourages violence and drug addiction. If 50,000 blacks go to jail because of Future's lyrics they can recoup even a 5 million dollar advance in less than a year. :wow:

I think we all for the most part on the same page. I will say our people don't look at rap as entertainment. Movies? Yes. Games?Yes Rap? No

This ends up have a direct affect without the listeners realizing it. A lot of our people think it's cool & want to live that culture. I know brothas who wasted away years tryna live that life because growing up its all they seen/heard. Imagine how many babies are coming up listening to shyt they shouldn't because at that age they not old enough to know its wrong.(thinking about Curry daughter singing blessings) Fortunately she'll have parents around who can guide her correctly.

I recall Malcolm once saying the people who are destructive & bringing down our people (or those that don't want to change) we need to ostracize them. Sometimes you can't wait for a person to change. You have to force or get rid of them.

With that said y'all both good brothas who essentially want the same thing:salute:
Listen I've told people this before but majority of casualties wars against colonists were c00n collaborators in my country. I don't protect those who sell out their own neither did the original panthers or any other groups in the movement. Sellouts for the most part have always been expendable to the cause. My 2 cents.

If phonzi is a brother then i wish him well but my point of view is we need to start making our own moves as opposed to worrying about those plotting against us. Worrying takes up precious time...

It's a thing called personal responsibility we all decide what we listen too.

Drugs are a part of life and will always be a part of music. The arguement is redundant because it's been made about every shift in youth culture ever this thread is basically 'Ray Charles Makes Devil Music 2016'.

@phonzi if you promote positive music with the same energy you put into tearing down hip hop posters would take your threads more seriously.

Drugs are mentioned in most music, it is up to the individual or the parents to make sure not to replicate what the artist does. You can hear about cocaine or heroin in white music too. I listen to future and enjoy his music, but I would never try lean because I know it's terrible.

Comments like this exposes how little we realize the deepness, creativity and elaborateness white supremacy truly is.

Comments like this exposes how little we know of our own past and the tactics used by the white man for 400+ years to intentionally manipulate our image:

and to keep our minds in shackles:

This is not about "tearing down hiphop". I love hiphop. This is about making us (blacks) see shyt different. This is about making people realize why our enemy is so invested in the artform WE created. This is about waking people up to one of the most effective tools of systemic oppression: media propaganda

Study the past and learn your enemy breh (assuming you are black) and today will make better sense. There is a specific and calculated reason why 90% of mainstream urban music glorifies criminal and destructive behaviour.

And you took the time to give a well thought out response which tells me you take this thread seriously. As do many others.

The white supremacists out in full force this morning:mjlol:

And are we gonna pretend like @Kunta the whiteboy didnt COMPLETELY duck my pic request:jbhmm:

Kunta, you have been exposed as a paid government "cac" agent sent to spread misinformation to my people.

I will not let that happen. I do this out of love for my black people and for the love of hiphop, a genre that we no longer control and thats currently being used for white supremacy gain.
