How come lil wayne, drake, minaj and all them other nikkas ain't dead? They have a lot of influence on people and music atm. How come immortal technique, Mos def, Chuck D, Krs one, and them other nikkas are alive? They all spoke the same message as Pac. I don't think you know what a motive for murder is. There is a lot of factual evidence that Pac was killed by Orlando. I grew up in La when all of this was happening and the streets know Pac wasn't killed by no government. His family members were clearly targeted by them though (Assata, Mutulu, Geronimo, Afeni, etc)

*walks over to the chalk board and draws a simple equation out*

Yes, they have influence . . they're also nice safe little pop stars with that influence and do exactly what they are told. They have great images which help to sell products. This is what separates them from the other names you mentioned, who have a message but lack the commercial success. Tupac and Drake aren't the same animal. Tupac and Lil Wayne aren't the same animal.

I wouldnt be surprised if :takedat:was CIA protected at this point...he is allowed to operate with immunity and is seemingly "untouchable"

:yeshrug:

This shyt goes deeper than gangbang politics....simply because of influence over the masses...

its unfortunate that all the black leaders have been gunned down and silenced in the past few generations....

cointelpro was real....it was really a conspiracy to start nikkas sellin crack and killing each other ...

commercials train us to hate ourselves....

.:usure:

damn...i can understand why westcoast nikkas hate the east so much now....but fukk that...we all aint puffy damn

If Suge was smarter he could have aligned himself with more powerfu crips so that whenpuff came waving cash at the cuzz nikkas ...word woulda got back to suge and however they deal wit it the dealwit it...

Suge had crips all over his label and was crip affiliated,Pac was crip affiliated so in my mind its pretty safe to say word did get back, gang bangers and secrecy don't neccesarily go hand in hand:mjpls:...well never know but imo its safe to say word got back to the point Orlando got pointed out and approached by Pac and asked what set he was from,as that was the set that had the hit out on em:patrice:...as well as Pac eludes to it on Against All Odds about Puffs involvement in something but not Biggie at all as if Puff is involved in some new sneaky shyt:wtb:...I wouldn't be surprised if it started out as a chain bounty and the crips came back to Puffy looking for another cash grab and offered up they services for a hit. Just think about how easy it would be to make Puff bite:heh:...all they gotta do is tell Puff "word on the streets is Pac and Suge got a hit on you,we can get them first but its gon cost you:mjpls:"....its why I never understood the payin for protection thing, thats a conflict of interest like a mufuka....nikkas gon stay making up people and situations they need to protect you from so they can keep you payin:russ:.....I think it coulda all ended that night at the Soul Train Awards if pac and big had talked but shyt got off to a bad start a lot like that Nas confrontation:pachaha:

if tho your joking ...ur pretty accurate

as far as paying for protection -- it's part of the rap game..that's where the real extortion come in at that NOBODY including the rappers like to talk about.

when you moving in diff states, cities, hoods you almost gotta have somebody to hold you down. In Puffy's case shyt had got thicker than anybody ever thought it would get, and b/c of that Suge was pushing a line on Puffy, and Puffy went on the defensive.

and as far as Suge being crip affliated, that's somewhat true too...Big Jake who was killed here in Atlanta was a C and not a B-Dog like most folks and the media lead everyone to believe

u pretty much got it right..

Diddy didn't so much plan it, as he did wave the idea in the air, if Death Row got too disrespectful and they did. Pack knew Orlando, he didn't know him personally, but he knew of him - had heard about him, and knew what set he repped, and who was paying him under the table.

Orlando and Keefe them was hollering at Suge the night BIG got killed which probably made certain that night would be the night revenge/retaliation would come

What do you mean? Suge was in the pen at the time of Biggies murder.

this is the party where BIG was at before he got killed. You see Diddy & Stevie J. dancing, partying and having a good time. Keefe & Orlando were in the building.

I'm sure towards the end when they startin reppin' 2Pac the tension and feeling in the air at the party had to be odd as fck!! b/c by this time you had both sides in the building.

alot of folks assume it was some elaborate scheme to get BIG but it could have and probably only took one phone call to make it happen once someone realized he was in the party -- esp with a cane

Them Lo Lifes...
Snoop was a way bigger star at that time that BIG was.

Pac talked about that stuff in interviews but at the time of Pac's death, he had released one of the most vicious and 'vulgar' diss songs in history, was declaring war on his enemies, getting in fights frequently, involving himself in gang politics, out on bail, etc etc

not exactly the make-up of a guy going the political righteous ways
Snoop was big yes, but BIG was the shyt at the time.

And Pac was
also doing this inbetween declairing war on his enemies, while out on bail, being involed in gang politics fighting frequently while recording vulgar diss songs...

You also forgot to add in the middle of the east coast/west coast beef.

1. TUPAC & JOSHUAIn 1993, Tupac received a letter from the parents of a dying boy, named Joshua. They said it was Joshua’s last wish to meet Tupac. Tupac flew to Maryland to meet Joshua and took him to a basketball game. Soon after Joshua’s death Tupac renamed his publishing company from Ghetto Gospel Music to Joshua’s Dream.

2. TUPAC’S CELEBRITY YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE Before his death, Tupac was in the works of developing a Celebrity Youth Football League. Each celebrity involved would sponsor a youth sports team, by buying uniforms and hiring a staff of coaches.

3. A PLACE CALLED HOME Tupac put together a benefit concert to help a growing non-profit organization, A Place Called Home, raise money for a new building. Founded in 1993, A Place Called Home is a safe haven in South Central LA where at risk youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education.

4. TUPAC’S SPECIAL BBQ Through his bodyguard, Tupac heard about a 14-year old girl who was paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair after a terrible car accident. Tupac called the Make-A-Wish Foundation to inquire about this little girl. During the phone call, Pac learned the girl was scheduled to meet her celebrity idol, but the celebrity canceled just before the meeting date. Tupac stepped in and flew the girl and her aunt to California to join him on the set of “Gridlock’d.” Afterwards he took them to the recording studio and later hosted a private BBQ cookout at his house in honor of her. Tupac later donated a brand new audio system to her school.

5. TUPAC GOES TO THE PROM A Tupac fan wrote a letter to his fan club, asking the late rapper to be her prom date. About a month later, Tupac showed up at her doorstep. He came inside the home and talked to her family and offered to purchase her prom dress & escort her to the dance. Before leaving her home, Tupac gave the family $1500. When her prom day came, Tupac arrived in a limo to pick up his fan. At the school function Tupac signed autographs, took photos, and even got on the dance floor with her for five songs before he left.

7. TUPAC STARTS PETITION TO KEEP COMMUNITY CENTER OPENIn his early teens, Tupac solicited people to sign a petition to keep a community recreation center open. After accumulating a significant number of signatures the building was torn down anyway in spite of his efforts. This experience helped cultivate Tupac’s vision for a center that would provide a positive environment where young people could learn skills and performing arts. He wanted to call the center Thug Mansion. After his early death, his mother maintained the vision by opening the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

8. PUSHED UNITY BEYOND SO-CALLED EAST COAST/WEST COAST BEEFTupac was often accused of instigating war between coasts, but there’s plenty evidence to the contrary. In 1996, Pac invited the Boot Camp Clik, the Brooklyn Hip-Hop collective, to record The One Nation album at his summer mansion. The album has never been released, but the effort was definitely there before his death. Furthermore, Pac had rock solid relationships with East Coast folks like Busta Rhymes and Treach from Naughty By Nature. Not exactly philanthropy, but definitely for the greater good.

Biggie was BIG yes, but Snoop in 95-96 outside of Pac was the biggest rapper in the game at that time

and Pac is my favorite rapper ever so I'm not here to bash or negate all the good things he did that were unspoken but my point remains the same. At the time of his death the "war" Pac was more prevalent and influential than the "righteous" Pac was. Pac just died at that phase of life

Snoop was but he was riding off the continued success of Doggystyle, the Dogg Pound release was to maintain that but that buzz was not going to be sustained past his sophomore album
