I had to give Amsterdam and 10 Jesus pieces a break. I now appreciate tracks like Presidential, Ice Cold, Pirates. Album is aging very well imo.

One note though i gave GFID a break for a few days last week which gave me a chance to revisit LIG. Thought Ross had album the year but LIG is VERY good album. Im kinda torn between the two but the sound and songs on each complement eachother. These two albums have made 2012 a special year in hiphop imo

life is good really isn't a good album, if you're a nas fan. it's one of his weakest. far too commercial-sounding. it's BETTER sounding than his last stuff, barring illmatic and lost tapes, but it still has the shytty weak commercial sound i've disliked in the past. it always feels like nas is trying to appeal to the commercial crowd with his albums.

:wtf:

the only wack song is touch n you. triple beam dreams and rich forever to end it after 10 jesus piece :lawd:

i think you just gotta learn not to listen to an album for three days straight. theres enough music nowadays to be able to keep everything fresh :manny:

I get what TS is saying, but I do that to a lot of albums by playing them nonstop until I wear out. Port of Miami is a personal classic to me though. I think thats his best album tbh. Push it, blow, hustling, cross the line, where the money, street life

Well maybe not his best album but some of those tracks on POM are fire to this day still.

One problem is we have too much at our disposal so we just don't appreciate it like we did when you only had one new cassette every month or two. Now that we can walk around with 100,000 songs each one is less special.
