Every player who re-signs with their team on a 1 year deal or a 1+1 gets a no-trade clause.

If a team signs a player to a two year contract with a team option the player loses the no trade clause. No reason the Lakers shouldn’t have did this.

A player who re-signs with his previous team on a one-year contract – or a two-year deal with an option year – is given no-trade protection, and so is a player who signs an offer sheet and has that offer matched by his previous team. Players who accept qualifying offers after their rookie contracts expire can also block trades.

No I’m saying they gave KCP the wrong contract, what they could have done was give him a contract for 17 million over two years but make the second year non guaranteed, in that case he wouldn’t have a no trade clause.
