I get what you're saying but I disagree with this. Dude could have easily made shyt easier for himself if the offense ran thru Blake Griffin more. Instead he chose to dribble the air outta the ball. Injuries to Blake happened, I know that and I don't remember all the other guards on the squad but he definitely could have made shyt easier.
I agree CP3 could've made it way easier on himself. I'm just pushing back at you saying that playing the same minutes on a team with more talent wouldn't help with maintenance and using a real life example of a player saying that it is easier if you have others that can take over.

how is this rushed when he knew ALL year he'd be a FA? there are literally 3 things to consider

- money - which isn't an issue, he's getting the max possible wherever he signs
- location - again, something easy to know well before FA. dude knows the 1-2 places where he wants to live
- team - whether it's team culture and/or best chance to win - something else he has knowledge of well before FA and the one component that's directly affected by him and his decision

that third option isn't doing him (or potential teams) any favors the longer he's on his diva shyt. i possibly would give him a pass if it weren't for all the drama he kicked up last year with the spurs. but dude likes to play the quiet unassuming role then pull attention seeking moves like this. just like people don't let curry carry the "nice and humble" label due to his laughing and shimmying on the court, kawhi doesn't get to keep the "quiet, humble just wants to play ball" label when he's a an attention seeking diva a heart :yeshrug:
Exactly! Like @G.O.A.T Squad Spokesman said too. Didn't we kill Bron for this?

It's been all of three days and you're simplifying shyt way too much. Money wise alone all these teams can offer a ton of different options outside of basketball that he may not have known about before taking the meetings. Investment opportunities, marketing potential, promotional dollars, all kinds of shyt outside of just basketball income. Kawhi's team may have clauses they want negotiated in such as trade kickers, no-trade clauses. They may want to hear just how much power these clubs are willing to grant them such as players wanting to have their immediate circle hired on with the club in executive positions. They want to hear how much say they'll have in roster moves and coaching hirings. Little things such as being allowed to have their own trainers. Then they have to go back and compare the three clubs offers and weigh them against each other.

Then even with the basketball part, why is this man not allowed to be genuinely torn on what he wants to do. He may have really grown a bond with the team last year while recognizing that basketball wise his best chance is with the Lakers.

Fans are the fukking divas expecting people to rush a life decision that will define the next 3-5 years of a player's lives all because we want answers now. Y'all bugging calling this man a diva for not rushing. If the Lakers are going to sign him all they'll be able to do his offer minimum contracts for the most part so they can negotiate with guys with the caveat of if we sign Kawhi we'll give you the minimum but if we don't we'll add some more millions on top of it. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

Him winning a ring in Toronto made it more complicated and probably wanted to hear whats the situation in the lakers front office
