:snoop:

so u basically only care about who is the best scorer
name me one TOR player besides Kawhi : that can create his own shot

i’ll wait

:what:

when did i call Boogie a allstar for this year
yall nikkaz are julezing : i was talking bout the collective of these 2 teams
You said boogie is a multiple time all star like he is anything close to that. You brought up iggy fmvp like he isnt close to retiring. Quit the nonsense. There is no convincing you.

And you got the nerve to ask who on toronto besides kawhi can create when they actively went ISO with Siakam all series

Looking at who I think is available, if i'm the Lakers and don't get Kawhi, absolute best case scenario:

Spread the $32 million and MLE among Marcus Morris, Willie Cauley-Stein, Delon Wright, and Iggy.

Get Rondo, Jeff Green, and Markieff Morris to come on for vet minimums. Retain Caruso.

PG: Rondo/Wright/Caruso
SG: Troy Daniels/Norvell/Horton-Tucker
SF: LeBron/Iggy/Jeff Green
PF: Marcus Morris/Kuzma/Markieff Morris
C: AD/WCS

There's a giant hole at SG - none of those guys are anywhere close to NBA starter level. They might. have. to. sign. KCP. again.

Lineup looks thin as hell. And that's a best-case scenario.
Your GM game is quite impressive :ehh: WCS is going to try to overcharge em for what they did to the cold crush tho.

It's interesting how these narratives flip flop... One minute..Kawhi is this little wholesome meek recluse that doesn't want any attention

But in the very same breath they'll tell you that there's NO WAY IN HELL he'd want to play second fiddle to guys like lebron and ad and that he would hate it if they get the shine and credit for "his" success if they shared a team :mjlol:

Don't talk to me about Marcus Morris. I saw every game.. Morris is a black hole on offense and he's not great defensively either.
With LeBron and AD on the court all you need Morris to do is hit threes, and that's the exact thing he does well.

Morris is at least average defensively and he tries hard. Love is NOT average defensively.

2018 ECF: Love put up 13 and 10 hitting 26% of his threes (7-26), Morris put up 13 and 6 hitting 47% of his threes (13-28).

And that's indicative of their whole careers. Morris consistently makes his threes in the postseason no matter how big the game is. Love ALWAYS chokes to death whenever the series is competitive (2016 Warriors, 2018 Pacers, 2018 Celtics).

You sign Love, what are you asking him to do for you on a LeBron/AD team that Morris ain't gonna do better?

At PG you're praying that playoff Rondo has another postseason in him and that's pretty much your only hope.
At SG none of those guys are anywhere close to NBA starter level. They might. have. to. sign. KCP. again.
At SF the average age is 35.
At PF that would be a great group of bench contributors.
At Center you sure as hell hope AD stays healthy.

Lineup looks thin as hell. And that's a best-case scenario.
You don't need 15 dudes all playing 20 minutes...thats not how the NBA works especially when it comes to the post season... Lebron / AD / Kuz are plenty enough firepower to hold their own offensively on the overwhelming majority of most nights... In the playoffs you are talking about going perhaps to an 8-9 man rotation so if the Lakers already have 4 rotation players they'll need to find another 4-5 guys to fill out that roster which shouldn't be that difficult especially if the rumors are true about Iggy begng bought out and heading there

Rondo/Quinn Cook
KCP/Troy Daniels/JR Smith
LeBron/Iggy
Morris/Kuz
AD/Chandler or McGee or Gasol

Looks rather formidable to me...especially in a West without any other super teams.... The rockets the nuggets and the blazers would all struggle with that squad

:patrice: Im starting to think Kawhi has already hinted to us where he's going.. I mean the sponsorship wit Ontario Airlines, the Blue jays Jersey on vacation, the final decision coming after he flies back to Toronto.. The man knows he's playing wit house money. He's gonna be rolling in endorsements, worshipped, catered to, and has a legit chance to repeat. Plus LA would be their waiting for him next yr - if don't work out

Man do you understand Chemistry changes when someone goes out. I’m not about to go back and forth, that nikka legacy good, top 3 of all time and about to win some more rings. Think what you want

Kawhi went East and immediately won a ring. Now you need him to come to LA and carry LeBron to some more.

Sorry but LeBron's mystique was irreprabably damaged. He now looks like a guy who only won cause he played in the weak east and had superstar teammates carrying him.

I agree with this. It looks dire. What the Lakers want to do is load manage LeBron, AD and Kawhi. If they only had LeBron and AD I don't know how you can rest them against good/solid teams and still win games. Lakers need to get Kawhi.
