Which is weird, I thought THEY would meet Kawhi in LA.

kawhi aint some mid level player who actually needs to visit with teams and see what the best deal is. Kawhi commands top dollar in every single scenario so money aint the issue he'd need to shop around for, he should know what city he wants to play in or what team he'd like to play with depending on what his priority is. breh can do him, but i'm not buying that he doesn't know what his decision is, he's sitting on it

I think Kawhi is really undecided tho, unlike KD who been knew he was leaving a long time ago. At least he wasn't playing with his mind made up that he was going to another team.

They've offered rondo a vet min contract already, I see them getting Boogie with the MLE or scooping up Danny Green with the MLE if he wants to play with Kawhi still, then there's still a ton of talent out there to fill the roster with.... I still have money that Melo will be on the bench for the lakers too.

IF they get Kawhi they might get Danny Green too. I was talking about what will happen to them if they don't get Kawhi.

I think Rondo would be a good addition but he looks like the starting pg at this point, he's not "depth". Melo is not "depth", I seriously doubt he'd be a net positive. And AD made clear that he doesn't want to play with Boogie again.

There isn't much of anyone left out there who is better than league average. If they don't get Kawhi they'll use $32 million and the MLE to sign 3-4 guys who would be decent bench pieces and they'll have to make 2 of them starters. Then they're filling out the roster with trash.

Wasn't saying weeks... if they push the meeting to say Late Thursday/Friday for example and Kawhi announces his decision Friday night or Saturday... Contracts are already being signed on Saturday since the moratorium will be over

But in this alternate universe where Kawhi doesn't come, then you take that 32 Mil and spread it out, Boogie, Rondo, Willie Cauley Stein, Trey Burke, Rondae Hollis Jefferson, Wesley Matthews, and a few others


I could build a decent bench and fill the roster holes with what's currently left


But we are getting Kawhi...

There's not much out there to sign. Unless Morris and Green are taking less money. But there are guys on the trade block like Love and there are guys who will be bought out like Iggy. So it's still possible to field a roster. It won't be a great roster but who needs a great bench if you have 3 top 10 players?
