I started with jakes campaign. The game so far is ok, but I will say the snow level im jakes story is quite possibly one of the worst designed levels ive ever seen. Havent touched leons story yet, I just started chris' story and it feels like gears of war. My problem is that while the game is not terrible, it clearly is following trends in games instead of perfecting its own principles. I could literally go through this game and find bits of metal gear, gears of war, uncharted, call of duty and so on. Theres nothing wrong with a game evolving but it is possible to make a survival horror game and evolving at the same time. I thought re4 captured that perfectly.

Edit:

Somebody said something about zombies not being scary or threatening to that effect. They may not be scary so to speak but it the fact that its never one zombie, there are several. Thats what made it tense, if you played it on normal you literally had to just shoot em enough to get em down so you could run away, you never had enough ammo to kill them all, hence the fact that it was survival horror. I never really felt in danger in re5, re4 had its moments.

bro.... in Leon's campaign where ur outside of that Church in the graveyard waiting for dude to open the door for you while being surrounded by like 200 zombies wasn't scary to you?

I died about 5 times on that shyt playing it on normal.

shyt reminded me of that scene in RE4 where ur trapped in the small ass cabin trying to fight off hordes of zombies on some Night of the Living Dead shyt (Which was honestly scarier than anything in the previous RE games besides Tyrant/Nemesis imo)

fukk that I'm doing Leon > Chris > jake

thats how I'm playing also.

In no rush to finish this game tho, backlog is cray and I'm actually playing several games at once across multiple consoles.

A ninja bout to fight Seymore for the second time in FFX :sadbron:

Only on 2nd chapter in Max Payne 3

LA noire ain't nowhere near done.

Shenmue II taking up my time also.

Haven't even started Gears 3 campaign.

Still Gotta finish up Infamous 2 and Killzone 3 campaign

Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Resident Evil remake....etc... etc

Plus Sleeping Dogs is coming in the mail today, and Halo 4 next month :whew:

will probably not be finished all 3 campaigns (4 counting Ada's) til sometime next year at this rate.

Same here breh. With work, coaching basketball, and just life in general I don't really get much gaming time in like I want to. Got a bunch of games just waiting to be played.
