The Xbox doesn’t have a cmos and the authentication of games is not tied to the date/time stored there. That’s a PlayStation specific issue

There is no cmos battery in the Xbox.the battery will still eventually die and need to be replaced like the PlayStation. The difference is the PlayStation data system is tied to the cmos where as the Xbox i operate seperate lay without it but it still needs to connect to the internet to be used.
