Eminem and the Beastie Boys went on to have success outside of their first albums. They have multiple multi-platinum albums. Eminem wanting to be Black is irrelevant. House of Pain is a novelty act in comparison.

Everlast kept on being a commercial success

and I have no idea how this bytches voice sounds like
Nah, Eminem wanting to be Black is very relevant...
Wearing a du-rag as a white boy is very culture vulture-ish....
House of Pain was just regular white boys who was cool with black dudes.
Girl is fine AF.
This album got played in the hoodThird Base.

The white kids and the mainstream listened to Beastie Boys, held em up as the end all be all of white participation in rap.
Wonder why?
Not to say nikkas didn't listen to Beastie Boys. Nikkas did. But they weren't the end all be all.
Nah, and i don't listen to white rappers like that
Eminem was a white boy who wore a du-rag that wanted to be black and the Beastie Boys were Jews.
House of Pain was just straight up on that white boy shyt and they went platinum.
Plus Everlast fom House of Pain gave Eminem that Ether and took his soul making him look like a p*ssy.
None of what you posted is getting at what I was talking about. House of Pain is still a novelty whether you view them as authentic or not.
Truth. This album got played in the hood

Some of yall trying to change history.
Just because Eminem sold more records than Tupac don't mean he is not a novelty act.
I understand Eminem lived in a Detroit trailer park and alot of poor cacs identify with him.
But still just because you can spit and sold the most records in hip hop history don't mean shyt to me.
Eminem was a novelty with his crazy shock value lyrics talking down on his mom ect....
There lies the problem with your argument. That does not nullify the fact that Eminem isn't a novelty act. Novelty acts don't have lasting careers. As quickly as they become successful is as quick as they are no longer successful. Hence, the novelty wears off.
It's not just about the sales. People still respect Eminem as a lyricist and not just them CAC's who fawn over everything he does, but artists who are actually great lyricists themselves.
