at the end of the day its almost never worth it to fight someone in the street. Even if you win who is to say that person won't go back to their car and grab a gun. The only safe place to fight is in some sort of fighting club or tournament that deals with a specific martial art kickboxing or just straight mma if you really want to get it out of your system but street fighting...legally its just too risky and almost never ever worth it

If Trayvon resisted the urge to respond to what was probably annoying questioning with violence he would still be alive. All he had to do was say he was simply walking home and there really wasn't anything he could have been detained on with no weapons or drugs on him. At worse he would have just been annoyed by the guy who thought he was Judge dredd

Trayvon was 17. Zimmerman is a grown man and he was following Martin & he got out of his car for whatever reason. Even in Zimmerman's story he's a crazy over-zealous cac who is prepared to kill - imagine the deranged ass look in his eyes.

if Trayvon was in "the hood" and had on certain clothing would he not have faced a similar situation at the hands of blacks and latinos? hell maybe being a strange black man in a hood in which he was never seen before have cause people to questions him as well?

As a black man I know being in the wrong neighborhood could get you in a situation if no-one knows you....or you too fly in a broke neighborhood since I was in middle school.



I don't know the make-up of the community Trayvon was walking through....lets say it was all white or what-have-you. Shouldn't the same rules of survival have been in play as don't wear/do certain things in a white neighborhood as you have rules for being in a strange hood.


Not excusing zimmerman and not excusing random killings in the hood. But much like you can't floss hard in the hood....you can't do whateva you want in these white neighborhoods and think it's okay.
