Brad Johnson has a Super Bowl ring. Lets count to see how many OSU QBs have one.

CJ is an anomaly. Justin Fields ain't nothing but another Terrell Pryor. :camby:
Mike Tomzak got one for da Bears . Oh and CJ jump shot >>>> Charlie Ward

Jayden Daniels will be gone by the time the Falcons are selecting a QB

I love the people that think Fields is a bad quarterback, but they have not even bothered looking at any stats. Fields only played in 13 out of 17 games this year, but he still threw for 2,562 yards; 16 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions one of which was because of Darnell Mooney. Fields also ran for 4 touchdowns and for 657 yards. Only Stroud, Derek, Carr and Lamar Jackson played in as many games and threw fewer interceptions than Fields. There were a who lot of other elite quarterback that threw the same number of picks as Fields and in some cases a whole lot more.

If there is a knock on Fields it is his completion percentage at 61.4%. However, the top quarterbacks in the league were only between 66% to 69%, but those guys also have one or more elite level receives. Fields does not have elite level receivers. He has Moore and Kmet who are really good receivers, but that is it.

Another problem with Fields is that you're pretty much saying it's win now mode. Daniels gives you leeway and allows you more cap space flexibility, obviously. Whoever trades for Fields is gonna have to pay him.

You have to love the irony of threads like these.

Should team without a coach take a guy who’s whole tenure in the NFL has had him looking terrible because of bad coaching or should they take an unproven guy who might be as good as the first guy or better IF he can avoid being a victim of bad coaching.

How do you guys watch football and still not understand that no QB in the league can outplay bad coaching and a terrible OC? Atlanta needs to get their coach situation figured out first and then figure out if Riddler was a victim of the same bad coaching Fields is getting vilified for or if he’s a backup at best. If they do plan to draft a new QB then they need to get a coach who can coach a rookie QB and they have understand it could be the Bryce Young situation all over again and go backwards in the win column.

If I was Atlanta and I just won 7 games without a decent QB, I’d see what Minnesota is doing with Cousins, what Cincinnati is doing with Browning, what Chicago is doing with Fields. The NFC south is winnable by any team with an actually good QB but you still need a good coaching staff first.

Bears gotta draft a QB. Fields was solid down the stretch but not good enough to not draft a QB.
