I'd say half the guys at my gym can't bench 225. More likely more than half can't.
According to Wiki:
Large arm-span is also mechanically disadvantageous on the bench press, as it forces the lifter through a wider range of motion.
My arm span is longer than my height by 2 inches which isn't normal as your arm span is typically how tall you are, may be a reason why I struggle with my bench.

The most I can do at 225 is 5 reps how can I step my game up brehThat's a whole lotta volume.
I do
135 x 10
225 x 10
300 x 10
And call it a day before moving on to flyes. I guess I'm just old school with the 3 sets of 10 thing
Did 405 for 1 rep about two months ago just to see if I could

I hate to break it to you but people look down on you. If you don't have at least two 45's on each side of the bar you're not taken seriously at the gym. And if you can't at least lift as much as you weigh you're really looked down on.
I damn sure look at myself in the mirror #blessed.who gives a fuk?
you should be going to the gym for YOU not anybody else
i bet youre one of those clowns that grunt like a cave man and look at yourself in the mirror
