This is the same reason I’ve never smoked or drank alcohol in my life after seeing so many drunks and hearing stories about fiends that had their futures/lives ruined growing up I decided not to ever touch that stuff

I drink all the time and I smoke. 2 beers on average when I'm drinking. I drink more during festivities.

I've seen people with liquor bottles in their desk... I know many women that walk with flasks in their bags and you would never know. A lot of people have issues with self control.

I don’t do drink or smoke, my sister rarely drinks and never smokes, my mom never smokes and never liked drinking. Of my friend circle, only one smokes semi-regularly..., and another is a social drinker but she’s not pressed to drink, the rest don’t do either.

I don’t care if someone does either, just as long as it’s not excessive and they don’t bring it into my space. I would also say the two I know are fairly responsible with it.

It's extremely uncommon for men and women. I remember running into a friend from middle school some years ago. He was saying we should hangout and catch up, he asked me if I smoked or drank and I said no. He jokingly said if that's the case we don't have a reason to hang out but I truthfully agreed with him.

It's kind of hard to hang out with people who indulge if you don't. A sober guy and a drunk don't usually click.
