If you were Tony Soprano what would you have done with Tony Blundetto?

I side with Tony S. with this sentiment

You gotta show Blundetto the same protection you would any of the other capos or you lose their faith.

But I would have to let them know we gotta take care of this in house, and the punishment of going against the family's orders are mortal, even for a made man.

I'd have to order Chris to put him down. He gets the anger toward Blundetto out, and takes care of the problem. Idk if that appeases new York but that ship had likely sailed...

Just noticed the convo with Bobby was foreshadowing , New York did come after him in the following season :ohhh::wow:

:francis: Phil Leotardo was a little emotional fakkit.

This is also why Tony was right in his decision to kill Blundetto himself. Even if Tony hands his cousin over to Phil, something else would eventually set Phil off down the line that put him at odds with Tony anyway. If it wasn’t Blundetto, it would have been Vito, or Coco, or something else. If John didn't get locked up, he could have reigned Phil in.

Look, The Shah’s brother was only a kid, 48 years young. Howeva, he wasn’t made, so tough breaks. A cousin for a brother. Things settled you ask me. One of Phil’s goons verbally threatened the skippers daughter, we gonna forget about that?

Nah, Tony was on some bullshyt. Even his men knew that, that's why Sil called him out. Blundetto knew the rules.

Yea that "offering (Tony B) the same protection I'd offer you" was straight cap, the capos knew that Tony was good at protecting his blood-family, while they got ugotz... Tony was only protecting Tony B b/c he was still ashamed & feeling guilty about Tony B going to jail while Tony S missing the job after passing out from arguing w/ his mom.

The "protection" was more about tony protecting his fragile ego more than anything else.

Everyone knew that animal Blundetto had to go, and they wanted it to happen sooner than later. NY was squeezing their operations, and there was already a lot of resentment for Tony B's special treatment (ie getting the casino). Just look at Patsy's sarcastic response to Tony's speech...

I saw that youtube vid “was carmine jr secretly a genius?” That pretty much says what ur saying.

My question is tho why didnt he take the reigns earlier, you know his dad wouldve put him as next boss if he asked for it.
