Well it was different but the fact that it was a european city with so many blacks is why i loved it. They were cool black people. Mostly educated folks. London is like that too but Paris just wasnt a place that I thought would have such a large black population.

I'm a Systems support engineer. My company is a messaging systems vendor. We sell Unified Messaging servers and other SMSC related implementations to the telephone companies around the world.

I think there's more black people in paris than london, and paris is more accepting.

Basically we sell the servers where your smartphone retrieves it's voicemail from and gets its miss-call notifications from. Also IVR system when you call businesses and go through the menus and press keys to select options. You deal with our products everyday but wouldnt know our name because it's embedded in your telephone provider's service.

We havent travelled much lately. Been traveling less and have to be in the office more. Thus why i post a lot more these days
The last 2 years I've spent less than 4 (combined) months outside the U.S. It used to be we'd spend 3/4 of our time traveling. Now it's more like 1/10 . I havent traveled for work since i came back from Sweden back in April. With all the layoffs I'm thankful I have a job but at the same time I'm miserable in this office

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
This is how I feel.

Also when I went to Brazil, I didn't want to leave. Their culture is superior to ours. It's hard to explain (and don't fukking start pasting your lame ass articles) you just have to go there and feel it for yourself. It feels like the future, the way it's all merged into one to form one big blended culture.

I live in China (2 years now), but I already know I will end up in Brazil or Colombia in the next 2-3 yrs. South America is my favorite region in the world, and I feel at home there.

I've lived in Canada, hated it, I love my city it's one of, if not the best city in the U.S (LA) but the normal life just isn't for me, it so boring. I love visiting every year, but after a couple weeks it gets old FAST, I mean real boring. China is hands down more fun. Like most expats will tell you, it's a trait you just have to have. Just like the explorers of yesterday left their beautiful cities in Spain and England to go venture out into some far away unknown land. Some people just have it in their DNA to where they feel more comfortable being an alien, an explorer, a vagrant.

People who never been to Brazil think it's just about the women, but it's the culture and atmosphere that hooks you, I guess having the perfect weather year round also helps matters. There's just something about it, the people have it harder than Americans on average yet so many of them are content and happy with their lives.

Yup. It's the culture, the people, the atmosphere, and the sun (which reminds me of LA, but a less organized LA). Its like a modern city but there's this touch of choas that makes it appealing. The people are loud, passionate, touchy feely, I dont know what it is, but it feels very 'human' to me, and I prefer it waaaaaay better than america. I just feel happy when I'm in south america.

You usually don't realize if you're in gang territory though. I did have one run in with a bosozoku gang and it wasn't intimidating or anything. Dudes were actually G with it. They knew I was american and not Nigerian (alot of Nigerians in Japan btw) and one dude was asking me all types of questions about rap n shyt in broken english. They wanted to hang out, but I was like naw buddy I ain't trying to get caught slippin.
Yup. this is exactly how my encounter with one was. You wont know its a gang spot, but I think I can kinda tell now. Plus they always wear black suits, have a stone cold expression, and loads of chicks hover around them, but not directly in their space (if that makes any sense). Altho their demeanor is stone cold mafiaoso style they're still human, and they're curious so they'll head nod, offer a drink etc, but I wouldnt go as far as to befriend one, that's like trying to domesticate a cobra. Nor would I try to forcefully enter one of their bars. If they say no, just walk away, you never know what kind of illegal shyt they've got going on in there anyways. A lot of times they're denying foreigners for that very reason.

Why is everyone so afraid of racist cities when they come from america? :heh:

Yall talkin about places that didn't have Jim Crow or have stop and frisk but yall are afraid of some frenchmen being racist? You realize as soon as you talk, and they hear you are a foreigner you have some form of immunity for various reasons, right? hilarious :heh:

whenever that comes to mind, just remind yourself "can't be more racist than america" or "at least its in the open and I can see it and avoid it"

and stop asking about the women, if your mind says "do they fukk with black dudes tho" your mind should right away answer with "why wouldn't they". :childplease: Have some damn pride.

man, just like in america, you stay AWAY from gang/mafia places, esp if you're a foreigner. @twan83 had an issue with Yakuza too.

I saw a Triad once, and I stayed clear from his VIP area, he gave me a head nod tho, and I hear some are coo and will buy you a drink, but you always let THEM initiate. In korea there are places where no foreigners are allowed. I've been denied access out here too. That's just asia. There's just some places you can't go, it's exclusive to locals. The west hasn't been the most friendly to the world, so they deny foreign men from going some places (real minuscule tho like 5%). It's like going to a KKK town and trying to sit down at a diner. Man not only will you get stares, you'll get denied food. We still have this issue in some places in America. When I encountered it, and maybe its cause I was drunk, I literally did :ooh: and then :wow: and then :heh: and then :manny: "yo where we headed next fukk this spot." :mannypac: I dont know I've been traveling so long, I guess I just have thick skin. There's a saying I came up with, instead of WTF, WTC (welcome to china)

Im sure the people that stated Japan understand that no country is a utopia. If you're looking for a utopia kill yourself now, because you're looking for a heaven on earth and trust me it doesn't exist.

To the people who stated japan. Have you ever been there before? Let me tell you, I've been twice and both times for about a month. The people are nice, the food is a bit different, its a really cool place n all, but in due time you will realize that they are very xenophobic (they know you're not Japaneses and will treat you as such by not allowing you to do certain things). You have to realize that the bigger cities in japan is just as media driven as america and they follow the European standard (they don't like white people just as much in most cases though lol) just much as every other other major city in the world, and there are places there where people have never seen a ニガー and will either stare in awe, try to touch you and your hair, or whatever. Now I'm not saying that japan is an awful place to visit (there's a reason I've been twice), but its not all 100% worshiping black people either (yes the chicks are easy, clubs are nice, better infrastructure, etc). I'm just saying some of you nikkas will flip out if this happened to you

that was most likely a yakuza owned club btw, they usually have a rule for no outsiders.

To answer the question though, I would rather live around people who have around the same complexion to me. So Brazil, Caribbeans, Africa, etc.

every country got racism i swear people are too damn scared :snoop:
and ya i know all too well bout the yakuza and nigerian mafia cuz of my incident.
sure ur not gonna know who is who territory till u been in that country long enough or someone from that country warn you
but otherwise its a lovely country that is fun and beautiful.

i got treated very well with respect and love.
hell i even been too germany, italy and austria and no issue there either but racism is there too but they aint gonna stop me from enjoying myself

ur right bout certain clubs that won't allow foreigners in the club if u aint asian or if u aint got a asian accompanying u in japan been too one of those clubs they want too limit the foreign people in it and it is what it is

I liked Amsterdam. Been there a few times and have friends there. Its a nice place to raise a fam. My only gripe is the temperature. Im from Jamaica but my second choice would be Grenada, its a very simple and untouched(not too commercialized) Caribbean island and the land of spice and everything nice ...:whoa:

Yeah, it's like an example of the what the future could be like. It's not perfect in the least bit, but I would still prefer to live there over the US. I haven't been there in years and it's depressing, but oneday soon I'll be back there living the rest of my life :to:

That ketchup on popcorn & mayo on Pizza though :scusthov:

Same, I love Colombia as well, it's number 2 on my list.

ketcup on popcorn and mayo? :wtf: whats that? I was mostly going for the beef specials, you know the one where you go to the restaurant and you have a sign with green and red, and if you want them to keep coming around you have green displayed. I ate there just about every day (when the women weren't cooking for us) and mcdonalds once (I go to at least one mcdonalds to check out the region menu, its just something I do). The most unique thing I ate....was chicken heart. It wasn't bad, it was aite, but not something I would eat every day.

Brazil def reminds me of the future. Blonde chicks with black girl bodies, black women with hazel and blue eyes, pale ass chicks with red but curly hair, asians with freckles and green eyes and titties, its like a new breed of people, shyt is wild. :wow: Like they're professional, formal, but at the same time not formal, its hard to explain you know what Im talking about. Its a country where there is no such thing as uptight.
