I live in a city where it’s unnecessary to own a car. If I need a car I’ll just use those car share services for the day. I wouldn’t get one without a family; it’s just a depreciating asset which is nothing but a cost.
We have a great public transport system which everyone with sense recognises is a more cost effective way of getting in and around the city. Anytime someone asks me why I don’t have one, I say “I work in the city and I don’t have kids; what do I need a car for?” and nobody can give me a reason

Yup... Cats will go 6 years to save 36 dollars a month but pay an extra 3300 dollars in interest.... basically, you really ain’t saving shyt overall, just monthly opposed to the 5 year deal.... Game is real

This model is... I just come from a family that loved transportation more than cars.. and we love cars.... but at the end of the day, you can’t get beat on the financing for whatever reason... so try to buy your “transportation” out right.......cause it’s just basic math.... if gotta pay 7 on top of the 20 I borrow, then it’s a bad deal..... no more no less

I'm not arguing against the existence of vehicles here, I'm saying the car market is one big con, we literally tie our worth to these vehicles that should be nothing more than tools to get us from one destination to the next.

Stupid thread title bc it all depends on your lifestyle. Not as necessary if you’re living in NYC etc. I do have two cars myself though. One I use moreso for the family and if I’m driving on business. The other is an older 3 series I’ve had forever and use as my daily beater. Then again I’m not paying thousands of dollars every year for a parking spot.
