and? I can do what I please. :what:

you're acting as if it's impossible to wear your hair natural AND wear weave sometimes.

you can also bleach your skin and teacher your daughters that their natural curls and kinks are annoying to deal with.

But hey, free country.

I'm just curious why you're not comfortable with your own hair enough to present it.

Of course your preferences aren't determined by what you have but by what you want in the opposite sex that's why you made those statements. You're not the first black man to feel that way. In fact it's quite prevalent in your group.
well, thats true. just because i have a short fro doesn't mean i want a girl with a short fro. but to say i think its bad is bullshyt.

because she hates how her actual hair looks. because she hates how her actual hair looks because she hates how her natural hair looks. they hate it enough not to show it off. :umad:

not only is this a direct contradiction from your previous sentence, it highlights the fact we've been pointing out all along.
If you're wearing weave, then you're not comfortable with your own hair to present it to the world.

That makes no since though. So if I wear my natural hair 99.9% of the time but I decide I want straight hair for a week or so and get a weave I automatically hate my hair? I'm not depending on the weave I just want to achieve a different style for a short period of time without damaging my natural hair. And how did I contradict myself by saying not all women who wear weaves hate their hair because that is true. Sorry I don't use sweeping generalizations.

and i'd agree with you. now which category do you fall under

I am a natural 4a/b (I don't know if you are familar with that term). I have hair like these ladies. They have the same type of hair just styled differently:

kumbuya hippy nonsense.
Nope. Just reality. Blackness isn't intrinsic. It is imposed. It ain't a quality you can parse out. Regardless of what you do or say, if you are black, you are black and there's very little you can do within the realm of reason you can do to change that.

What if someone mixed race with black identifies with their black side more?

then they have to learn to identify themselves as mixed. it's cool if you learn more to one side, but dont get it twisted, you're a combination of both races. red + green doesn't equal green.

Well the opposite of good is not "kinda good" or "just as good". You already stated what type of hair on a woman you think is good therefore the logical conclusion would be that you think anything other than that type is bad. Based on your words, how can I think otherwise?
