If wrestlers were draft picks who would be the biggest bust?

Also outside of WWE:

Eddie Edwards is the only guy in history to be a triple crown champion in both WWE and ROH. Post-WCW he's the most decorated non-WWE American wrestler. How much money do you think Edwards has drawn? :patrice:

Enough to cover the coast of a pack of hotdogs and a big gulp from speedway?

Taz was never going to work in WWE. The last 2-3 years of his ECW run was him just saying fukk constantly in promos and being treated like he was some 6'4 beast. He gets to WWE and Crash Holly is slightly taller and more jacked. Then Benoit comes in immediately after and steals all of his thunder anyway, but even if the Radicalz didn't come in, Taz wasn't going to be shyt for long in WWE regardless. He was also physically at his end which is why he took the money in the first place. There was no way Austin/Rock/HHH were gonna let that little fukk drop them on their heads to make him feel like a BAMF.
Rock had a triple threat match with Taz and I think Angle shorty after his debut and had no problem selling for Taz. He definitely wasn't on that petty/political shyt.

Rock sold for everyone. He wasn't going to be taking reckless head drop suplexes to make Taz feel like a bad ass.

He wasn't going to do that for safety reasons, sure. Same way Vince didn't let Helms do the Vertebreaker or didn't want AJ doing the Styles clash at first (until he was able to convince him it was safe). Has nothing to do with Taz "feeling like a bad ass" (lol?). He was more than willing to let Taz suplex him safely and wasn't insecure about being thrown around by a small dude though.

Taz's whole thing was unsafe suplexes and being super stiff to make him seem like a bad ass shooter. Literally his gimmick. Along with long promos where he constantly had to be censored. All that is fine in grimy ass ECW with dudes like Sabu and Tommy Dreamer and Sandman, but none of that was ever going to work in WWE. This was a problem most every ECW guy had, in addition to the size differences that always stood out dramatically when in a WWE ring against those guys. On top of all that, 4 guys from WCW jumped right around the same time who were pushed as a much, much bigger deal and were all 4 better in the ring than him, plus Jericho finally getting his footing in WWE, plus Angle's supernova rise. Taz stood no chance.

Without exaggeration, he was smaller than Crash Holly. He's lucky he didn't get a full blown Oompa Loompa gimmick tbh.

I agree with this for the most part. Taz wasn't ever going to be a top guy in the WWE with all the talent they had at the time. Although I don't agree that the Radicals were pushed as a much bigger deal than him. They both were made to look strong for like a week, then fell into the midcard where they were doing jobs regularly to acts like Too Cool and Crash Holly. Benoit was really the only one who was booked strong for an extended period of time. Taz was doing fine doing his suplexes and chokehold when he first came in, but like almost everybody who debuted in the WWE in the attitude era he fell into the midcard and became just a guy within weeks.

Chris Harris solo career :snoop:

Now this was a massive bust. Not only did he tank in his TNA solo run when he was still in shape, but he showed up to the WWE completely washed and put on two of the most embarrassing performances I’ve ever seen. That cross body finisher looked like when PN News when climb the top rope and just fall instead of jumping. Pathetic.

I think Chris Harris fukked himself getting on steroids (or upping his cycle) and it killed his cardio and then he just got bloated instead of jacked. The end of his TNA run is just as bad as the super short WWECW run.

93 million miles above these devils

Facts he's a 5/5/5 guy on a Super-max. Even if you want to argue that TNA/ROH aren't on WWE's level TNA in their pomp are still the closest company to WWE since WCW (AEW doesn't have the domestic TV viewership or anything close to TNA's international TV reach yet) and ROH were the perennial #3 company. If you look at the guys who've had success in those companies and where they are now his resume says that he should have had either a decent to good run in WWE or he should be the sort of darling where people are counting down to him getting to AEW and yet... :francis:.

He's also one of the blandest wrestlers of all time and is a guy TNA/ROH could rely on to have a generic WORKRATE match but not make enough waves to have to worry about WWE scooping him up in the middle of a hot angle. He's never hurt anyone and never made political plays and super bland so he's a safe bet for a TNA or ROH to keep around. There's no way people were buying tickets to see Eddie Edwards, though.
