If wrestlers were draft picks who would be the biggest bust?

The only answers imo are Sin Cara, Tensai, O 'Haire, Staziak, and Palumbo.

Why I'm seeing Nakamura on here is beside me? I get it he didn't pan out in the main event scene but he has been a solid fixture in the mid card/tag team scene with numerous titles.

Basically the equivalent of a Marvin William's career. Didn't become the superstar that he was meant to be but wound up with a solid pro career overall.

I think Nakamura is a legend regardless of his time in WWE

Compared to his Japan stint where he looked completely larger than life, he’s a massive bust

Breh compare to so many people that they tried to give a sky rocket push he’s not one of the biggest bust regardless of what he did overseas. I’m sorry but I don’t see it.

He salvaged the remaining of his tenure here by being plugged with Cesaro and Zayn and by having a solid resume down in NXT.

In Shinsukes defense when he first came In he was on fire breh.

The main roster call up absolutely killed him though. We really thought he had next when he won the Royal Rumble.

Vince let that main job to AJ Styles in every match.
Booking matters

-loses twice as a hot babyface to Jinder..even after Jinder clowns him
-if I recall was maybe the first one eliminated at SS by Braun even though the crowd was still hot for him
-Lost repeatedly to AJ when the title was on the line.
-Beat Jeff Hardy for the US title and the W is immediately overshadowed by Orton running in and attacking Hardy. Then isn't really featured on TV/booked to defend the title.

Those were bad no doubt it. Can’t defend that trash but once he won the IC belt and clique’d up with Cesaro and Sami he salvaged himself. Look how much more comfortable and entertaining he got. For that reason I can’t call him one of the biggest busts.

He could of easily been a Sin Cara after all those bad booking decisions but nope.

Edit: Also breh is only one major title from becoming a Grand Slam champ in WWE. :dead:

Also outside of WWE:

Eddie Edwards is the only guy in history to be a triple crown champion in both TNA/Impact and ROH. Post-WCW he's the most decorated non-WWE American wrestler. How much money do you think Edwards has drawn? :patrice:

Lugoat was the man in WCW and more than lived up to the hype that he had in the early part of his career. Him going to the WWF was like Filipe Luis leaving Atlético Madrid to go Chelsea. It wasn’t a good fit and he wasn’t used to his true potential. Once he went back home though he immediately became an A-level player again.

I don't remember luger being A-level when he went back to wcw in what, 96?

Seems like at that point TO ME, he was just another wwf guy jumping ship.

I hate to say this, but the Von Erics are like the Greg Odens of wrestling. :francis:

Are you serious?

You gotta remember, territories were king back then. You couldn't tell a Sportatorium fan that wwf was any better or even bigger.

Von Erichs in the Texas were Hogan level in fan adoration. If Hogan and Kerry Von Erich were walking together I promise u fans would mob Kerry more.

It's why they never truly tried to branch out. By the time Kerry left for wwe, he only had 1 foot and was on the decline.

The rest of the brothers(Kevint to a lesser degree) didn't have "it" like that and were only in it bc it was the family trade.

Sin Cara has to be the top pick. I don't think they've ever had such a legit box office draw, arguably the top 1-3 draws in the WORLD at that point, and not only did WWE use him as a random mid card guy who got special lighting, he just completely shyt the bed the ENTIRE run regardless of how he was booked.

Taz coming into WWE in 2000 was a high draft pick.

But dude was out there looking like a mini...aura was immediately gone :francis:

Debut at MSG was still dope though.

Taz was never going to work in WWE. The last 2-3 years of his ECW run was him just saying fukk constantly in promos and being treated like he was some 6'4 beast. He gets to WWE and Crash Holly is slightly taller and more jacked. Then Benoit comes in immediately after and steals all of his thunder anyway, but even if the Radicalz didn't come in, Taz wasn't going to be shyt for long in WWE regardless. He was also physically at his end which is why he took the money in the first place. There was no way Austin/Rock/HHH were gonna let that little fukk drop them on their heads to make him feel like a BAMF.
