Every time this topic gets brought up I point out I was probably the first person on here saying anything about DEI. I was in those rooms and came to spill the tea about something that was IMMEDIATELY prevalent and that was DEI was actually a loophole to care LESS about black folk

Folk who work in corporate know these 2 words: diversity and inclusion. That’s the new “affirmative action’ except it’s streamlined. They just lump all minorities in that pot. And the pecking order is:

1- women- bc that includes white women too

2- LGBT- bc this includes white men also

3- all other non/black races-

4- black women.

5- Our numbers are already low, plus we got a large segment that’s anti-establishment and won’t participate,

I say all that to say this: white people are ecstatic at the new rules for diversity and inclusion bc it allows them to meet mandates for a diverse workforce while still bypassing who they actually dislike which is black men

I wrote that 3 years ago. Yet a lot of folk are literally just now finding out the main beneficiaries of DEI aren’t black folk (and definitely not black men).

Obviously this is not to say eliminating DEI is a good thing—-some lazy folk will take it that way——but it’s to point out that other things he’s doing are far more detrimental to black folk and the country as a whole. DEI is being used as the distraction. DEI programs are 5 years old. EEO is 65 years old. Both were rescinded yet which one are the masses focused on.

So even if unintentionally, OP makes a great point. If you think the attack on DEI is the #1 issue dealing with Trump you have no clue what’s going on right now.

You are convinced that it is some newfangled thing, but it's about giving opportunity to under-privileged people.
