why do we have this idea that removing something makes it go away? If it's not "DEI hire" it's something else. Conservative politics and culture hinges upon putting the blame for society's problems on the common people, usually, and historically being minorities. DEI has been removed but there will still be people saying so and so was a DEI hire so there really isn't any escape from the narrative because the narrative has always been the same since chattel slavery, that being "black people are undeserving of their position in society."
