I would say its ironic because you have to be really naive and well, stupid, to not realize the considerable stupidity of the average idiot walking around, particularly among those that actually voted Trump...

Even outside of politics can you point to other memes that the public is acting on at a similar rate as the Russian memes? Or are the Russian memes like the best most convincing on the internet?
