Best bet to keep in line with the theme is a prequel series of Johnny Boy and Junior, the golden age of their crime family.

Look at the success of Boardwalk Empire as that had many Sopranos writers and alum on there, so a period piece could work.

5 years late but the other poster is retarded. Not only was furio a a1 soldier he was cousins with the boss lady in Italy.
