AJ was taking and selling coke with them, he was in too deep already, plus he seen there was power in the sopranos name of being Tony's son and enjoy those perks, as long as he was in the thing he will be seen as the heir apparent, given that everyone ends up dead or knocked, and he already has one foot in with lil carmine, I dont see how he doesn't take on that roll

AJ said the one thing to allow Tony to let him free and let him in, that army shyt he knew how serious Tony was about terrorism last thing he wanted for his son to be on the front lines....The mafia thing is all aj wanted he was about to kill junior do a skid bid and get those g points for avenging his pops. Aj wanted respect from his pops and that's the way, although Tony always said he wanted aj far away from it, he also wanted aj to be more like Brendan and crew, his insecurities about aj was a little to with his relationship with his pops and feeling he wasn't tough enough as he was also a fainting, bytchmade kid, then Paulie had to reaffirm Tony how much his pops respected him
