one of the most important things in being a man, is accepting responsibility for ur actions and situation.

no blaming the system. not blaming others. not blaming ur parents. accept responsibility for ur own shytty life, and ur fuked up actions. once u do that, u can change ur life for the positive and become a man.

the system might not be perfect, but hey thats life. who the fuk said life is fair? you grew in a shytty neighborhood wid little opportunity? so the fuk what. what makes them entitled to anything. you want it? go work for it in a manner thats positive to society.

think its bad in america? its all relative. ppl in the gutter in 3rd world countries would kill to come to the grimiest ghetto in the US.

This is a terrible way to look at life.

You mean to tell me that I only get one chance at living life, but I have to walk everyday on egg shells because of a monetary system put in place by flawed human thinking? :snoop:

You mean to tell me that the very fact that I'm alive doesn't grant me the RIGHT to live a good, fulfilled life because of a set of rules, regulations and societal norms set by people who feel they should have dominion over me? :rudy:

Wrong.

The blame doesn't lie with the system or its unseen hands. The blame lies with US who allows this system to rob us of our freedom.

It's time for us to take this bytch over.

One last note: my inner peace doesn't come from my material possessions or finances. So to hell with this "system" talk. This world can't control me.

yes, thats exactly wat im saying. what makes u think ur entitled to live a good life. who teh fuk cares breh?

now im not saying this to be a dikk, but its jus my philosophy. why are you entitled to shelter, a hot meal, and a good job. i bet like 50% of ppl in the world don't got that. what makes u special?

the only reason inner city ppl in the united states feel untitled is because there is such a disparity between rich n poor in this country. poor kids will see some drug dealer up in a benz or 7 series, and think they deserve it too. reality is, they dont deserve shyt. the only thing ur gauranteed in life is a nice coffin.

Basically.

WE allowed the system to treat us in this manner, to harshly punish those who cant afford to fight and to not punish those who can. To make money, prestige, and connections matter more than merit, intelligence and adaptability.

This is what happens when C.R.E.A.M., but truthfully, we must like things the way they are.

It is his fault for choosing a life of crime when he knows the different between right and wrong when it is spelled out in the law if he does not have higher education.

Though i do believe as a prisoner half your sentence should be harsh punishment. And the other half should be rehabilitation.
Comments like this coming from someone who's white is insulting and it's something that white people don't get.

I got this idea from the kermit thread in TLR.

A young boy is born into a of family drug addicts/dealers, where everyone is trying to get over on each other and it's every man for himself, in a bad inner city. The only way to come up is to sell drugs, steal, or prostitution/pimp. He goes to a shytty school, with shytty students, underpaid teachers, outdated materials, and exceptions are being made to get you to the next grade. The walk to and from school involves walking past a barrage of crime. On this walk, or walk to anywhere, he's harassed by the police. The police treat him like a criminal from the start. If he isn't one then he will eventually be one in the near future is the cops mind state.

His dad is gone and his mom is on welfare. Never works a day but is getting paid. She doesn't care for the boy and no one teaches him the value of an education.

With all this against him he starts selling drugs like everyone else is doing. Cops catch him with drugs and he goes to jail for a long time. In jail he joins a gang and gets even deeper into that world.

Whose fault was it that he ended up there? Should his sentence be pardoned? Is he just a product of his enviroment? If he is, should he be persecuted the same way that people more fortunate are prosecuted? Is jail the answer to every crime? Wouldn't a rehabilitation/education center be better for these types of individuals? Is that "special treatment"?

Thanks for reading and opinions.
theres a dude in Liberia that used to eat tha hearts of children (literally)! now he's tryin to lead people away from a murderous lifestyle! and theres no real Goddamn system to keep him in check!

i see a lot of privilege running around in this thread.

yall really have to understand how powerful social indoctrination can be, and how powerful negative conditioning can be. we are creatures of habit and our habits are born from our experiences.

not to say people cant overcome these challenges, but at the minimum it can be very, very difficult.

If there is a point where one can fully transfer blame onto society, its not in America

Those east African child soldiers... east European sex slaves... etc, those are folks who can fully blame society. Someone w/free school, welfare, Medicaid, running water + electricity, access to computers + the internet (yes they have libraries in the hood), nobody literally coming to their houses w/guns and kidnapping them to be used as child soldiers or sex slaves, etc has no fukking excuse. If the American system was "rigged", immigrants from countries far worse than the US wouldn't be able to come here and thrive.

Im not saying shyt is perfect, but people need to stop making excuses and blaming everyone else for the bad choices they make. Thats the biggest problem in the black community. The white man doesn't make illegitimate families. The white man doesn't make people sell crack. The white man doesn't make us blow our money on check cashing spots and lotto tickets. These are all choices we make of our own free will :manny:
