then what are we doing? :comeon:
What's the point of testing for anything?

No wonder these dudes can be the same height/age as me, but weigh 50 lbs more of nothing but pure muscle....despite the fact that I workout 4 days a week, eat right and have for years.

There's not enough maltodextrin shakes in the world to make up that difference. Nor does being a "freak of nature" make things THAT uneven.

Why make a big deal about players using natural Deer Spray when dudes are HGH'd up to the gills? :heh:

It's no wonder why the NFL quietly continues to push this issue to the backburner every time it's brought up.

You sound bitter. Why don't you try HGH and see if you can gain 50 lb of pure muscle.

I agree, but
My point is, the NFL(image) tries to act like these athletes are all natural, putting their bodies on the line, healing naturally, setting a good 'hard work/no shortcuts' example for youth, etc.

:ehh: Testing might be coming soon...

Roger Goodell says agreement close on HGH testing - ESPN

I wonder how everyone will react when it comes out that a majority of the League is dirty. :whoo:
...particularly the stars and future HOFs. :bryan:

You can bet there's gonna be some type of catch to this.

No they don't. This ain't baseball. People know and accept that this is a gladiator sport. It's very well publicized and known that many guys are shot up with cortisone and other similar working drugs before games. The fans don't give a fukk in any sport but in football it doesn't even seem like the media giveth any fukks. If it wasn't Ray Lewis, the dear antler shyt would be a non story.

Beyond that people need to stop acting like you can just use a PED and magically be bigger and stronger. PEDs are only effective with top notch workout regimens and nutrition. You can't just take HGH and sit on your couch all day and be great.

You dont hear much DURING THE GAME about players taking shots, pills, painkillers, etc. The casual NFL fan believes these guys are warriors, playing thru injuries with very little to nothing to dull the pain.

That's all controlled media talk you hear. But the truth doesnt often get out even thru the media.

And if you take HGH or roids, you can DO LESS and see more results. There's dudes at my gym that I know for a fact are on roids/HGH and they only come 1-2 days a week and do less than me.

Not really. I don't think there's anybody who even wants people to believe that all of these guys are clean. And frankly, none of the fans (or even the sportswriters who claim to be the "pulse" of the fans) give a fukk either. This ain't baseball.

We don't care in football because fans don't give a shyt about the players when this is the life they chose. Unless it involves gambling or fantasy football, fans generally don't care for their well being (it's like this in every sport, but football is viewed is so violent that a sane man wouldn't sign up for it.)

If you're hurt, nothing should be against the rules to get healthy. As long as a 3rd party dr approves it. HGH or whatever.

Its using it to build muscles and sh1t that needs to be stopped.

I agree wholeheartedly that people acknowledge that football's a gladiator sport and to a large extent they are not only ok with that but they are drawn to it. It's pure blood thirst at some level. I also agree that for some odd reason the media seems to be not at all suspicious of what is probably rampant PED use. My guess is that it has something to do with the extreme popularity of football and it generating crazy money not just for the League but probably for the media itself. I'm sure they do not want to do anything that might jeopardize the cash cow.

I disagree with the bolded. I care. Part of the awe and marvel of sports for me is the at least illusion that these guys are so "naturally gifted." As I said before, I'll be less impressed if/when it comes out that some of my favorite athletes are juicing. I'm not saying that their accomplishments should be completely thrown in the bushes. And that they aren't skilled at all. I'm just saying, for me, these guys are great because of that skill and their "natural athletic ability," whatever that means today.

Are they NFL players? Are they even close? No matter what you are taking you gotta put in work at that level. Yeah PEDs help you recover faster and help you get more results faster but you still gotta put in work. Beyond that some people just naturally got more results faster than others. :manny: That's life. If it's that important to you why don't you just use something? I always annoys me how people complain about other people using PEDs as if they aren't available to them.
