@saysumthinfunnymike And yeah you can rest assure someone will be getting a big push come time for the NJ Cup tourney.

Well they did that with ZSJ last year but they didn't really follow up on it. I think he'd have been better served in I.C. title scene than carrying around the Rev Pro title but we'll see..

I prefer they go with Ospreay or Ibushi at the top though

Dude is like Rev Pro's John Cena/Roman Reigns though.

I would've liked to have seen him or Jay White run with the IC title too but Gedo got Naito stuck in that Nakamura neverending IC Champ role now :snoop:

Be interesting to see what happens with Ibushi going forward since he isn't commited to anyone.

He did it for the United States market. If NJPW keeps growing here then it’s worth it. Will they even do 6k here again post MSG with no Elite? We definitely will find out
Many would argue that the US shows sometimes suffered from putting an unnecessary focus on American/western wrestlers instead of their Japanese talent. Didn't they run shows with guys like Naito performing in the undercard while bringing in Billy Gunn of all people to face Tanahashi in a match? I honestly think the US Shows could become more popular if they actually have their top Japanese talent main event.

They also could have done a proper Ibushi/Omega blow off and pull the trigger on Ibushi as a top guy even though he's been mostly freelance Ibushi is a guy who would have benefited greatly from that.

why isnt Ibushi the clear cut next up, its like njpw doesnt believe in him

Omega played himself.
Not sure how you nikkaz giving him a passes for palumbo'n the promotion. Along with roh doing the same with castle. Then thinking it will be this great venture into the us. With a children based product at its core. You can not create a draw based on good/evil. Coupled with fighting spirit.
Then market gay shyt as the champion hero of the promotion.
Not to mention, by being to Asian oriented. When they needed to be global and nonsensically make Okada as the greatest thing. When omega should have went over on the first actual encounter between the two.
That we should never have had to re-rate the star system. now after you re-rated the star system because wrasslin was still shackled by the ghost of Benoit. Being the actual best five star finish in wrasslin history with the super tombstone finish versus black tiger.
So, granted the rating system had to be re-rated over. Yet you can not authenicate re-rating a system because the old system was shackled by a murderer. Then re-shackle the rating system.
behind a dude with a ambiguously gay duo based gimmick.

It is silly and oxymoronic.

That is why omega had to drop the strap quickly and had very little permeation. into the domestic mainstream gateway market as well. So that is why Kenny lost the title. Yet njpw ruined the drawing cycle of omega. by trying to make Okada this thing. Plus allowing in the meantime omega to emasculate the entire promotion and its permeation into the domestic market. Before omega would garner the highest place on the card and draw as champ.

nope.

they just gotta accept the offer from AEW to run a working agreement.

no big deal.

ROH may end up losing tho.

They need to push Osprey big time as a heavyweight. He should be the #1 gaijin, not bland ass Jay White.

Osprey gonna show the fukk out this year in the G1 :wow:

I been telling cats since the weight gain, hes the next aj styles.

whatever version of AJ you want to compare him to - TNA AJ or NJPW AJ.

ospreay got next.

Truthfully New Japan as a company kind of played themselves by having guys signed to one year contracts while also talking so openly about U.S. expansion plans. As soon as that MSG show was announced, they should have known.

The one year contract thing wasn't a problem until wwe started raiding their talent.
