Omega has been one of the most pushed gaijins in NJPW history. He ended Okada's record-breaking defense streak and he actually has a winning record vs. Okada.

If Omega leaves now it's kind of like the Pelicans letting AD go for nothing. The only guy they've pushed as a replacement is Switchblade and no offense to him he's solid but replacing Omega at the top of the card with Switchblade is like the Pelicans replacing AD with Marcus Morris.

He did it for the United States market. If NJPW keeps growing here then it’s worth it. Will they even do 6k here again post MSG with no Elite? We definitely will find out

It really does depend. You can argue that the real draw for these US shows is seeing non-ROH guys in person not the Elite who've wrestled in ROH regularly for the last two years.

Huh? You'd rather him hold his talent down like WWE does?

It's the wrestling business, time for the next man up.

The rest of the Elite were all ROH contracted wrestlers, Kenny appearances in ROH became rare once he became a main eventer in Japan.

The only difference between that show and an average 2018 ROH show was Kenny Omega wrestling a singles match

No, it's fine to push him. I don't know if it's smart to have his free agency looming with no suitable replacement. Match with Tanahashi was fire but maybe you push someone like an Ospreay or ZSJ higher up the card in case Omega walks. :manny:

They need to push Osprey big time as a heavyweight. He should be the #1 gaijin, not bland ass Jay White.

Osprey gonna show the fukk out this year in the G1 :wow:

Ospreay has really bulked up :ehh:

Dude looked like a beast against Ibushi:dame:

They should really capitalize on him knocking out Ibushi and pushing him. I’d like to see him show out at the G1

fukk jay white :trash:

They just locked down Tanahashi & seem to be doing so with most of their other stars as well.

Like @stro said, Kenny didn't even work that often as you would think a NJPW champ would. His absence won't be felt too badly.

They still have the big trinity of Tanahashi, Okada, & Naito to carry them. They'll be fine.
