. I can only respond to what you posted.MJ balled for years before finally getting squad around him to compete for chips. You cant compare all those years to one year of Lamar being better than he has in the past but still not to the same level we have seen consistently during the season, with Henry in the backfield on top of that. Football MJ with this squad is headed to 2nd straight SB.

The greatest player of his era is Patrick Mahomes. Lamar is the second greatest player of this era, and all the football people who vote on how great they think players are, have told us that they think Lamar is comparable to Mahomes thru their votes for All-Pro and MVP (Pro Bowl too but that obviously has heavy fan influence). The basketball comp for Lamar would have to be the second greatest player of an era who didn't have championship success but rivaled the era's best player in accolades and performance otherwise...Becuse it wasnt there

The best comp is that Lamar is Wilt and Mahomes is Russell. You could argue that Russell was a better player than Wilt, despite the statistical dominance of Wilt; and it's inarguable that Russell was the routinely greater playoff performer, and hoarded all the championships, and outplayed Wilt in H2H playoff series....
Wilt finally won his first championship in Year 8, Lamar just finished Year 7. Wilt won his 3rd MVP in Y8, the same year he got his title; Lamar is the betting favorite to get his 3rd MVP in Y7...
All these Drexler and McGrady comps are hilarious because this is The Coli, but Lamar is objectively a greater player in his sport, than they were in theirs...

. It fits perfectly the last 2 years but Mahomes was putting up dumb numbers himself before that. What do you think about MJ and pre-rings Dream? Or how about Pat as Tim and Lamar as KG?
