This is one thing I don't understand about the dislike for Canelo. He 'avoided' 154 killers like Diet Charlo or Andrade (but fought and beat Lara) to go up to the soft touch of Triple G, with his first fight at 160? Sounds like the old Floyd narrative. There's no way he'll fight Lara! Fights him. Okay but there's no way he'll fight Triple G, he's shook. Is about to fight Triple G. Do you see where your logic is flawed breh? Plus like 9 people dapped that? SMH
I'm saying though. Dude is about to fight the most feared man in boxing in a matter of hours. Somebody who's far more accomplished and dangerous than all those "killers" at 154....But canelo is shook :mjlol:......this is why boxers become all about the money. No matter if you take on the biggest challenge, the fans will just say you're shook of somebody else. There's really no pleasing some of these dudes. And what makes it funnier is that all these "killers" at 154 haven't fought anybody them damn selves. Charlo who just moved to 160 has the best resume and his best win came vs an over the hill trout...and the shyt couldve went either way. Canelo fought prime trout when he was 22. Fought Lara. Was gonna fight pwill before the accident. None of those "killers" at 154 have taken on more challenges than canelo. NONE of them. And tonight's fight will just add to the list. Let those "killers" take the same risks that canelo did at their age before we hype em up. We already had dudes in here hyping up j rock as the future and dude got completely slumped in his first real challenge:mjlol:

@patscorpio just watched that canelo vs Lanardo fight.

Canelo clearly has lanardo problems, they need to run that back.

Can u defend him fighting at 155 for years?
We've already been over this. If you aren't fighting for a title, you are allowed to weigh 1lb over the division limit for any fight. That's in the rule book. Once canelo fought for another belt in the Smith fight he fought at 154 again. If he were to keep fighting at middleweight for no belts he would be able to make fights at a weight of 161. Canelo wasn't bending any rules or getting unfair treatent. Anybody in boxing can do it if they aren't fighting for the belts.

@GzUp
But on a real note... ggg coulda BEEN fought Canelo had he agreed to a catch weight..
They the ones that said anybody 154-168

Ward never said anything close to that... He called out only Floyd specifically.. for obvious reasons

Ward called out Floyd at 160.

But ya I did want triple g to fight him at 155 if it took that BUT canelo had the strap at 160 so the fight should take place there. If he didn't have the belt then yes if canelo wants it at 155 and he's the A side then it makes sense.

hope boxing stops obsessing over being undefeated. u can lose every now and then still be a big draw.

conor and brock lesnar both have losses at the pro level. still huge.

Ya that's a problem, in boxing once u lose u get thrown in the bushes.

was it always like that?

muhammad ali lost 5 times.

the fabolous four of the 80's are still remembered to this day. obviously they had to take losses when you do a round robin like that.
