fukk, it actually may not be a bad strategy to force Floyd to hit you and let him break his hands. :lolbron:

See? That's why I can't fukk with u. You always cosign some bullshyt although you know better. Floyd had brittle hands when he demolished Cotto, Canelo and Maidana. I won't even touch Pacman who's a better boxer and brawler than GGGx 100 either. You keep making dumbass statements every fukking time

Maybe Margrito was the last Mexican star who really had "that" type of style

the last truly great Mexican star with that style was JCC though

how do you feel Golovkin would fare against prime MW B-Hop?
Hard to say............they both had great jab. Hopkins wasn't the busiest fighter but he had great footwork and lateral movement. He was also pretty decent counterpuncher. GGG has good counter jabs and pressure. I would slightly favor hopkins because he has a way of stiffling opponents though GGG would make things tough in there

I agree if he took had 1 or 2 rounds between 4-11 from GGG he would've won a comfortable decision. How is somebody this age getting gassed like this brehs? Is it just genetics? He need a new stamina coach? :mindblown:
Going to assume genetics because he was in great shape and I believe had a new strength and conditioning trainer in camp...

I knew he was going to look like shyt in those middle rounds though after seeing how much foot and upper body movement he was using in those early rounds...He ain't built to move like that for 12...

That said I feel a lot of that movement last night was unnecessary...Little g's power never phased him and Canelo won the exchanges in the pocket quite easily...He really only got into trouble backing up and on the ropes...When Chepo watches the tape I'm sure this will be addressed in the rematch...

I'd also pick Hopkins
I think he's good from multiple ranges and with his footwork and tricks he would sow down the rhythm of the fight and wouldn't let GGG to get in his groove
He would spoil Golovkin to a UD.
Hopkin was always good against brawlers and pressure fighters, against Kovalev he was 49 already and Kovalev possesses a different style - despite also being offensive - and different attributes than Golovkin

Prime Hopkins beats the sh*t out if Golovkin. I'm not talking about the old middleweight who threw punches, I mean the guy who obliterated Glen Johnson.

Breadman said the same thing. Wonder if they were injured before the fight, or if he has had hand problems we don't know about and he hasn't been concerned about protecting them vs. guys that can't really hurt him, but maybe vs. GGG he didn't want to risk hurting his hands mid fight and having GGG go after him if he injured it.

I don't know if this was addressed before but in Combate Space, Erik Morales and the crew talked about how Canelo had hand problems in his last fight so he decided to switch gloves.

Yeah he can be a slow starter but once he gets going he is hella crafty. Would be tough to pin him down

I felt the same as well like he was moving around just to move.
