For the record, this fight confirms that triple g would of never beat floyd lol
Hes right about triple ggg
Hes straight up and down no special effects
But you need stamina as well as boxing skills to beat him
The way the first three rounds went is how the entire fight would go against floyd
Canelo gassing out made interesting
Solid fight though
I gained respect more respect for both fighters
I still cant believe triple g was walkon thru some of those punches

Lol Floyd doesn't have a punch in his arsenal that GGG would have to respect. If he ate Jacobs and Canelo's punches back to back and never flinched, the fukk is brittle hands Floyd gonna do to slow GGG?

I believe Chepo put some urgency in him in round 9 when he told him he has to close strong which is why he came out swinging in those rounds...

IMO scoring this fight was only difficult because Canelo let it be...

When he let his hand go in the center of the ring little G had no answers, straight up outclassed him but then son had to take the next half of the round backing himself into the ropes and not doing anything with his hands...even though little G was catching more glove than skin in those situations it doesn't look good for Nelo...Its why I always said, the most important thing for Floyd when he fought Packeyow was to avoid the ropes...doesn't matter if he's landing clean or not, compubox is counting them and so are the clueless Jim Lampleys of boxing...

I agree if he took had 1 or 2 rounds between 4-11 from GGG he would've won a comfortable decision. How is somebody this age getting gassed like this brehs? Is it just genetics? He need a new stamina coach? :mindblown:

fukk, it actually may not be a bad strategy to force Floyd to hit you and let him break his hands. :lolbron:

Floyd wouldnt hurt triple ggg
He would land punches, box, move out the way and hold.
Again, look at the first three rounds, the fight turned when canelo got tired and started chilling on the ropes
the best way to stop a fighter who keeps comin forward is to land your punches and hold
Look at mosley vs cheato
Look at cotto vs cheato 2
When u keep backing up its just gives them momentum
In the middle of the ring triple ggg was gettin schooled

Someone must not have told skilled counter punchers like salvador sanchez juan manuel marquez etc about that generalization. :mjlol:
They got diff styles :yeshrug:

Maybe Margrito was the last Mexican star who really had "that" type of style

the last truly great Mexican star with that style was JCC though

how do you feel Golovkin would fare against prime MW B-Hop?

yet Canelo was able to draw , it ain't always about the punch it's whether GGG can hit Floyd and whether Floyd can hit GGG. You keep talking about brittle hands and power, but he made Canelo lean back - when you're getting hit with crisp, accuate, on the mark punches over and over again, no matter how "brittle" you think the punchers hands are, you're gonna think twice about the moves you make. When you throw a punch , miss, and get smacked for it - you start doubting yourself. You could see Canelo doing this to GGG and while GGG was game and still moved forward and was able to catch a tired Canelo due to inactivity , what is gonna do to Floyd in those situations when Floyd is slipping, clinching, reseting, and countering him as GGG gets aggressive

no a 35-37 year old Floyd beats GGG in an unanimous fashion
