If GGG went to work earlier and worked the body more he'd have an easy UD. Was too nervous early on and got complacent in the final rounds.
No he fukking wouldn't - that's the problem. This should have been an easy UD as it is and you saw what happened. If that shyt was going 12 - they weren't letting GGG win. Canelo was getting booed by fukking Mexicans by the end of that shyt and nikkas are talking about a draw. FOH!!!

Honestly it was draw. Little g landed more but canelo landed the better shots. By far. Either way the fight proved canelo is the better boxer. But dudes stamina is just terrible. Atrocious. If dude doesn't get a real conditioning coach after this he's a retard. When he's fresh dude is unbelievable. He was making little g look basic as hell. But once the fatigue kicked in, he pretty much just let little g wail off on him. He was just giving little g rounds. Smh. But I don't wanna hear little g talking about canelo was running. When canelo was going on those 50 punch combo sprees for a full minute little g was a sitting duck. He always waited for canelo to gas out before He opened up. He basically did most of his work when canelo punched himself out and leaned on the ropes.

All that being said, I still gained respect for both guys. Little g is tough as fukk and proved me wrong on how much he can take. And canelo....even though he was exhausted out his mind, he still put his all out there. Took little g's best shots right on the chin and went right back. Both of these guys took eachothers best shots and proved they're not gonna go down unless you kill em.
let some of these nikkas tell it, and GGG did canelo like floyd did Morales

most of guys supporting canelo winnin this fight have prolly never stepped foot in a gym

from round 4 on, GGG controlled almost the entire fight

he controlled the distance and pace with his elite jab (which showed in the punch stats) and neutralized a lot of canelo's offense

canelo had sprts here or there, but unless u a total bias nuthugger, u cant award a fighter an entire round based on 1-2 clean shots landed, when ggg was landing way more volume and stalkin his guy

i think either way, this doesnt bode well for canelo

he doesnt have power at MW, nor the cardio. jacobs would handedly beat canelo as well.

i also am certain that ggg in his prime (3-4 years ago) wouldve KO canelo.

keep in mind the canelo that fought today is canelo in his prime. the GGG we see today is a GGG at the end of his career. this aint no prime GGG.

i think when all is said n done, this fight proved GGG def is a hall of famer, MW.

Can't take any one talking like Canelo put on a defensive masterpiece seriously. This wasn't some Mayweather type performance where Canelo moved and still controlled ring generalship. He was on his bike moving continuously in the direction that GGG steered him in. ZERO pivots or reverses in direction. He was in survival mode and countering in short bursts to steal rounds. :russ: @ clean and effective punching. wasn't shyt effective about Canelo punches. shyts had zero effect, never hurt GGG and never made him alter his approach. He landed less and at a lower %. There was whole stretches of rounds where Canelo didn't throw at all instead strictly moving trying survive GGG stalking. Canelo corner knew what it was with their late round instructions and the mostly mexican crowd let it be known how objective observers saw it when they boo'd their hero for receiving the gift

That 118-110 scorecard might legitimately be the worst scorecard I've ever seen. As bad as the 117-111 scorecard from the Pacquiao/Horn fight.

It's actually so ridiculous that when Buffer read the score, I immediately pegged it as a GGG scorecard.

GGG handily defeated Canelo tonight, I don't care what anyone says. Ridiculous.
Felt the same. I was like 118-110 seems wide, but that obviously is a GGG scorecard. The camera kept staying on Canelo and I knew something was up. Then he said Canelo. :scust:

fukking terrible ending to a great fight.

When you leave with the Mexican fans thinging you won the fight, when they were booing you in the ring walk. About as good a moral victory as you can get. :smugdraper:

Canelo won this fight easily. GGG should actually be the one grateful for the draw. Setting the pace and applying spatial pressure is different than applying pressure with your actual work rate. I'm convinced most people really don't know shyt about boxing. For some reason defense isn't looked at as a skill and a part of scoring a fight. Canelo spent too much time on the ropes for my liking, but his defense was true up against the ropes. All these talking heads on ESPN hating on the decision....boxing ain't dead and not going anywhere. Stop acting like bad scores haven't been apart of boxing since the beginning. Byrd fukked up the night with here score, but no one should be mad at a draw to this level they are. Theodore Atlas about to pop a blood vessel.

Canelo gets a new road work guy and he'll beat GGG with ease next time.
