There's nothing about him calling pass protections in that article. He helps out sometimes by directing to the line who comes with blitzes, but it's mostly the center's responsibility to make sure the line is aligned correctly. He had freedom, but the concept that you don't seem to understand is that he's still dependent on everyone else to do their job.

Everyone has to be on the same page. You're completely ignoring all other factors.

So you don't think Peyton is at fault at all? He is successful during the regular season but unsuccessful in the post season against teams that use 3-4. And you don't think the person who had complete control of an offense who plays poorly against 3-4 defenses wasnt the problem? He only lost against teams that use the 3-4 concept. The Texans couldn't beat Peyton until they switched to a 3-4 defense. It is not coincidence that they continually lost against teams that disguises their defense. As the article I posted at the beginning of the thread showed how team often made him think they were in cover 2, causing him to call a cover 2 buster and he played into the defense hands. This always occurred and was the major factor as to why they wasn't successful against these teams

Peyton is great but he couldn't handle the pressure of the post season and Eli could. Eli put up better passing numbers with less talented WRs. I think Eli deserves to be in the conversation

Nowhere did I say the bolded. And as far as your 3-4 question, why does he historically own the Ravens who often play a 3-4 defense? Why couldn't the Jets stop him in 09 when they ran 3-4? Those teams run more of a hybrid but do show mainly 3-4 alignments.

Why does a talented receiver like Marvin Harrison only have two TDs in the playoffs for his career?

You seem to be thnking that correlation = causation which isn't really the case.

Texans couldn't beat the Colts because they didn't have the players to.

If it were as simple as disguising coverages then everybody would be doing it.

I like Eli but he's lost games for the giants off of his interceptions and bad decisisions before that has kept them out of the playoffs a few seasons too.
