if D.C. were smart they'd greenlight a "Vixen" movie to capitalize off the Black Panther hype

Would also pull in that feminist/Wonder woman crowd.

Now is the time

Black Panther is a little bit harder to replicate in general because they essentially created a more intelligent version of the Fast and Furious ensemble cast formula with T'Challa as the "Dom" [central character], and Wakanda/Afro-furturism taking the place of the "cars".

What i mean by that is BP became the most tweeted about movie ever, surpassing Star Wars, and the 3 most talked about characters were 1.) T'Challa 2.) Erik and 3.) Shuri. However, you'll also hear a gang of people talk about Okoye and the Doras. And about the M'Baku challenge. You'll also see relationship counseling articles referencing Nakia/T'Challa and Okoye/W'Kabi. And Forbes and Business Insider articles about Wakandan politics and technology providing lessons for the real world.

So while T'Challa himself is selling out toys, panther masks, and other merch for lil kids [the primary demo for superheroes] the movie has offered something for nearly everyone. Barely any white characters can offer that level of impact, let alone the more scarce black heroes.

I thought they got in the hole because they did the opposite of the MCU
That's part of it but it begins with being reactionary. DC didn't even have a films division at Warner Bros before starting the DCU. That's borne out of being reactionary and it was a mistake.
