How many triple doubles would he have had?

*for this hypothetical, assume the following:
-He is still 22 years old when drafted
-He still has the car accident
-The auto manufacturing differences in those 20 years do not have a material difference on his injuries

Bobby Hurley doesn't get drafted in 2013. :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

6'0" 165lbs with no athleticism, no obvious NBA skill except "high IQ" and "heart", and can't score from any level. :dead:

Early 1990s was the expansion league, they were desperate as fukk to fill out more talent drafting him #7.

No one is drafting Bobby Hurley today...I’m not even seeing it. Lack of size and athleticism and would get ate on defense and I don’t recall him shooting a great amount of 3s...and the league doesn’t value the ball dominant set up PG.

now I would be curious to see how Abdul rauf or Larry johnson would do today.

If he's still racking up assists as a "deceptively quick lunch pail" PG at Duke I can see him getting drafted 7 years ago but like I said he gets waived/G-Leagued.

It wasn't even that he didn't shoot threes, his jump shot was broke. Had one of those falling-forward shots that he kinda shot puts up with one hand. It was ugly inaccurate from NBA three range and impossible to get off at his height as a midrange jumper.

He literally couldn't score from any level in the NBA. He barely could score in college and only because he had stacked-ass teams that opened up the floor for him (Laettner, Grant Hill, Cherokee Parks, and Thomas Hill).

Not to take away from him being a really smart player and tough as fukk. Incredibly determined too. But come on now.

Hurley in 2013 is TJ McConnell as best
That's actually a good comp, I didn't think of that one.

The only differences are that McConnell is slightly taller and WAY thicker/stronger than Hurley. And he has a pull-up jumper that Hurley didn't have.

That size difference especially is the difference between teams taking a chance on McConnell and Hurley never getting even a look.

I mean let’s look at it like this...his draft value already plummeted due to his age, size, athleticism...I want to say a few years ago the kings drafted a guy in his mold from Kansas. Or maybe another team but I recall it was a guy that reminded me of him from Kansas. And even than they were a 2nd rd pick.

Are you saying plummeted in real time or the hypothetical scenario? #7 is a nice ass plummet :skip:

Non-melanated Raymond Felton with a Duke degree would go around 15-20 imo and stick around 7-10 years as a “gritty” backup QB type player who “thinks the game” then have an assistant job waiting for him from half the league when he retired at 32.

And that’s not even taking into account who his father is on the assistant part.
