I think they could still be a big power without being neo-Colonialist
They wound be developing nation status.

I think your underestimating the impact of African minerals, metals, uranium, vanilla, coffee, fragrance, labor, gold, diamonds, culture on Europe

No European colonialism, no super power USA. Do the math on what the U.S. is without No African slave labor. Remove African uranium from the Manhattan project and think about how global power dynamics are different today. Remove African uranium from nuclear power plants.

Without Africa,”Europe” as we know it would never exist. There would be no EU. Maybe Soviet republics from the pacific to the Atlantic. Definitely no Israel

This country has been #1 in (nearly) all aspects of civilization for almost a century. If it were to turn into one of several failed Nations around the globe, which other Nation would be the objective best to take it's place and why?

:jbhmm:
That is actually factually false but carry on..

While most of the world sees the United States, China and Russia as the top three leaders when it comes to hard power, with soft power – the ability of a country to exert influence through culture, political values or foreign policy – it's another story. According to the Best Countries data, the U.S. outshines its major competitors in terms of variables such as human rights, trustworthiness, government transparency and being a place people would want to live in. While the U.S. is in the top 20 in those categories, China and Russia are in the middle or toward the end of the pack.

I think China, Japan, the EU, Australia, UK And South Korea would be the group vying for global dominance.

Russia would try but Ukraine actually fukked them up lowkey for a decade.

U.S. would probably fracture into different smaller countries based on regional identities for example the whole New England being one country, Pacific Northwest being one country, DMV being one country.

Who becomes world power? Russia or the Arabs.
