This country has been #1 in (nearly) all aspects of civilization for almost a century. If it were to turn into one of several failed Nations around the globe, which other Nation would be the objective best to take it's place and why?

At that point is when a "new world order" appears
Not the United Nations btw, but an actual, concentrated, global government. No other nation really has the financial capabilities and military might to be an empire like the US at this point so the only thing they'll have left is joining up. BRICS is like a soft precursor to this.

That won't happen until/unless there's a global threat. COVID gave us a sample of what that might look like, but that's not really what I was asking. Is there ANY one Nation that is capable of taking America's spot in the immediate future should this country turn into, for example, Somalia or Yemen?​
