I had lunch with some African homies (Congolese and Tanzanian), we met these Congolese girls, everything was all good until we started talking about traveling, and people started "joking" on Rwanda and homie brought up he used to live in Rwanda (he's Congolese).
One of the girls was asking bro the wildest questions like he was an alien "where you not scared, did the rebels try and kill you, is your family ok".
Another girl low key had the look of disgust on her face and hinted at he should hate Rwanda. Me, I didn't understand especially since the girls were born and raised in Montreal and Boston.
After everyone left he explained this shyt was basically tribalism, and they were probably raised to think like this because people from her tribe are taught not to trust tribes from Eastern Congo because their "mixed" with rwandese. Then bro went to give me a 2hr lecture on the history of her tribe and his tribe and what happened he experienced during the Congo civil war.
It's crazy how other parts of the world operate, I know Somalis that won't date other Somalian because of some tribal shyt that happened a long time ago, Arabs who told me the same thing and even white people from Eastern Europe on that type of time all living peacefully in Canada.
