No, more because Hamas are closer to the muslim brotherhood of Egypt (MB democratically won the elections after Mubarak was overthrown, the US backed Mubarak btw). The muslim brotherhood were overthrown in a coup by the military about a year into their term. Saudi are scared as hell of something like the muslim brotherhood sparking up in Saudi and, I guess an "Arab Spring" happening on their doorstep.
