That Colton Simpson(Rollin 30's Harlem) book had an intro by Ice T, and the book itself contained a couple stories that he was part of too. If memory serves me correct, he was an associate but never really banged, right? He was really into jewerly licks, and petty crimes, and he admits that himself too I believe.
I'm not saying either way... but Ice-T is originally from Jersey, not LA, and apparently was in the military too. So, that doesn't necessarily say anything in particular, but it begs the question: how deep in the game in LA was he really?
Also, anyone remember him from Breakin?

Came in here to say this. If you read his book, he talks about all of this, but not in a glorifying way. It's a good read, I highly recommend it.
