That Colton Simpson(Rollin 30's Harlem) book had an intro by Ice T, and the book itself contained a couple stories that he was part of too. If memory serves me correct, he was an associate but never really banged, right? He was really into jewerly licks, and petty crimes, and he admits that himself too I believe.

I'm not saying either way... but Ice-T is originally from Jersey, not LA, and apparently was in the military too. So, that doesn't necessarily say anything in particular, but it begs the question: how deep in the game in LA was he really?

dude was in la before he hit high school so he had plenty of time to do dirt. like people said before, he wasn't a crip but was affiliated, did some small time pimpin, robbed jewelry stores. he joined the military in his last year of high school because he got a girl pregnant and needed to support his family. if i remember correctly from his book he was stationed in hawaii and that's where he first started pimpin.

Came in here to say this. If you read his book, he talks about all of this, but not in a glorifying way. It's a good read, I highly recommend it.

I think ICe Opinion wuz better and still relevant for today even tho its old....his newer book wuz a lot of the same shyt but less game than ice opinion to me.
