Hip hop and the culture is far from dead in NYC :flabbynsick:

This drill shyt is the most gritty, hip-hop shyt out and covers the OG hip-hop elements more so than almost any regional hip-hop scene from sampling to b-boying

This ain’t the 90’s these kids don’t talk about living phat, baby pa’s, and they aren’t 5%’ers they do it their way :mjlol:

Ice Spice is yet another rapper to blow from NY and she might open doors for the other female drillers who are better MC’s than her like Kenzo B, Shani Boni, Yung Devyn…
That shyt is ass B. The whole NY drill music wave is ass. OG hip hop elements :mjlol:

My Pops Forever RIP
French is surprisingly the only nikka who moved units and was a star at one point
A Boogie moves units though.

The only strike against A Boogie really is that he hasn't had that nationwide massive hit yet, but his albums and singles always sell. You could argue he sells purely off the strength of the city. He's a regional star whose region happens to be NY.

Well if we gonna say regional star, I can go with that.

When I hear star, they should be national if not international stars

A boogie and Lil Tjay have way more plaques than French and sold way more albums

French is more socialite/A-list celebrity compared to them and has been in the industry in varying capacities since they were lil kids

We not counting that streaming ponzi scheme. This man can’t even do a national tour and if you showed him to 20 random nikkas, 18 would have no clue.

You really believe he did anything on the level of French and Rae? Or any of the Drake features? Or that Khalid features?

French way more of a star

Who can’t do a national tour?

A boogie and Lil Tjay are two of the most popular rappers for Gen Z

See how you keep putting these stipulations on it. “For his area” “for gen z”

I’m not doing that. You either a star or nah. A club tour is not a tour. On somebody else tour is not a tour. Can this man do a national tour? Then how is he a national star?
