Pop Smoke was Panamanian :yeshrug:

imma old head & completely disconnected to the current culture

truth be told, Pop Smoke was no more regional than any of these people named here until really Dior grew legs right as he got killed.

I remember when Welcome to the Party was bubbling here and it was strictly a NY thing because when Meet the Woo Vol 1. dropped it barely charted.

I can’t believe he actually typed that
The music is not for you this is the most "hip-hop" shyt in the new school the content is some abhorrent shyt but y'all can't be hypocrites like y'all wasn't listening to shyt with the same content.

They actually rapping in an era of crooners and melodies whether they're rapping well bar to bar or from a technical aspect is irrelevant because they don't rap for boom bap heads or with those sensibilities...

They actually making posse cuts when posse cuts been died out...

They rely heavily on sampling in an era where rappers was rapping over flutes and computer noises and minimalist trap beats and shyt and they flipping all types of genres into drill…

They got hip-hop shyt in their videos peep the graffiti at the :30 second mark…

They actually be competitive with it and go at each other…

They actually dancing this shyt is modern b-boying…

@ISO dawg, just say you like da music without attaching all that nonsensical shyt to it as a means to justify why. Moreover, not everyone who doesn't agree or listen to it so attentively like you do doesn't mean that they're so called "boom bap heads". That shyt is a cop out. Anything to convince yourself or others that it's breathing new life into what y'all consider to be "da culture". Da only reason you feel passionately about that shyt is cause a lot of those young nikkas you posted are from your borough specifically so you're gonna feel as if it's "for you" even if it isn't. You gotta chill out a lil' bit, my boy.

U think I listen to this shyt faithfully :mjlol: I like some songs this is for the generation after mine. I understand where they coming from and why shyt is the way it is. It doesn’t matter what any of us think about it hip-hop is youth driven this is their shyt.

Any thing else is some old man yelling at the clouds shyt

they all buzzing and have respectable careers...but none of them are OUTTA here feel me...Cardi B the only one who really blew....
Cardi is a once in 5 year superstar. A boogie for example has three solo albums all of which are RIAA platinum or double platinum and like 15 platinum singles. This is elite status for a rap career like top 5 percent easy.

All that mess is dumpster juice:scusthov:

These folks are all wack because the bar to entry is so low as I've said in multiple threads about the state of hip-hop, these dudes ain't out here to say anything they just want the hottest video and be famous. Ain't no content or lyrics or anything substantial just copy and paste lyrics and try to find a beat to ride on. The drill sub-genre is likely the weakest form of rap because it's straight commercialized even when it ain't making money its just who can get the most views by doing or saying the most:sas1:
