Most of what was in his contract was already part of the Dem. platform or was already put in motion. Ice Cube is a joke. And a liar. And a useful idiot. He couldn't even keep his story straight.Contract for Black America. It is messed up because people like these Uncle Tom Democrat boot-lickers on here was shytting on Cube for actually drafting SOLUTIONS to help with tangible problems and tried to get both Biden and Trump campaigns to look at it. But because Trump's people actually took time to look at it and came up with their BS platinum plan whereas Biden's people just ignored it like they ignore EVERYTHING when it comes to black issues while wishing empty symbolic gestures, y'all bash Cube because Trump's people gave him a shout out for giving them ideas for their plan.
Rep. Cedric Richmond denies Ice Cube was told to hold off demands until after election: ‘That did not happen’ - TheGrio
“Let me be crystal clear. That did not happen,” he stated Monday during a radio interview.
Richmond, who represents Louisiana’s 2nd congressional district, including most of New Orleans, appeared on SiriusXM’s The Joe Madison Show to address the accusations leveled against the Democratic party by Ice Cube. The rapper has withstood withering backlash for advocating for his Contract with Black America and offering the Trump administration input to achieve its goals. Ice Cube declared that President Donald Trump was responsive whereas Joe Biden and other Democratic officials cautioned him to wait until after the November election.
Richmond, Biden’s campaign co-chair, insisted that Ice Cube was not told to wait his turn but rather to flesh out his proposal. As theGrio exclusively reported, Trump’s Ice Cube-assisted ‘Platinum Plan’ looked very familiar to the one put forth by Congressional Black Caucus.
This lines up with what he said in an earlier interview:
Speaking with TMZ, the multi-hyphenate said that he and the Biden campaign team talked “about a few things,” namely economic support for Black Americans.
“Making sure that a fair amount of government contracts go to Black businesses,” he named as one talking point. “... I really want to focus on economics. I think economics could fix a lot of these other social problems.”
Cube added that the Biden campaign is already “moving full-speed” ahead on social justice issues, but he wants to see an equal amount of attention go to economic equality initiatives.
This is one of the things he said they discussed, and:
• Leveraging Federal Procurement to Narrow the Racial Wealth Gap for Black Entrepreneurs and Families. President Biden directed agencies to use federal purchasing power to grow federal contracting with small disadvantaged businesses, including Black-owned businesses, by 50%, translating to an additional $100 billion over five years.
