Accurate assessment..
Pac, Khalid Muhammad... I love them too.. But are there any revolutionary minded Black men that y'all rock with that haven't been dead for 25 years?
Not really. And it's a reason for that
Since the 60s, there's been a strong effort to prevent anybody like that from spreading that kind of message
People like the black panthers, bpsn, weatherman underground, sncc, and bla were so radical its been the government's mission to have their own counter revolution
Gen X was also the last generation with direct ties to the Civil rights era
Like with pac. Afeni was a panther as well as his godfather. Of course he'd inherited their revolutionary mindset and socialist leanings. He just updated them for the times he was in. All the revolutionaries had been snuffed out or replaced with grifters infatuated with the status quo, so he allied himself with the only people he saw that could help him bring about the revolution black people need. Thug Life was supposed to give class consiousness to gangsters, whicu would also give the revolution its soldiers. Unfortunately, the gang shyt ended up being his downfall.
Fast forward to modern day where opportunists have popped up to take advantage of the current disorder brewing. Instead of giving people knowledge they exploit ignorance for financial gain. Feeding people bullshyt to make the wrong enemies
See today's gender war, trans obsession, diaspora wars, religion, etc.
Anything but white supremacy and neolibralism
I try to talk to folks my age about this shyt, but nobody wants to hear it
Older gen a lost cause, so I'm not expecting much outta them
If you can point me to nikkas on some radical shyt, please do
Cause I'm tries of grifters and puppets like ice cube, jay z, Tariq, and Umar getting all this attention
We need real revolution. The enemy has never been clearer. But who are we supposed to trust in times like these?
Shout out to those two black senators from Tennessee though. Seem like real solid brothers tryna do good
