Nobody said cube was Malcolm x, but he made pro black music back then and he was running with noi.

Nah I wouldn't exactly call it PRO BLACK MUSIC it was more like GANGSTA MUSIC with a Black Nationalist Slant.....

Most of my conscious peeps didn't really listen to Icecube like that ...they were turned off by the language and violent street imagery

They were mostly into Brand Nubian..PRT ...Native Tongues etc.

I never got the impression Cube was really about what he rapped about. The Khalid Muhammad thing seemed to be just a phase to him. He wasn't really a gangsta like that nor as militant as it may have appeared to some. A good rapper and actor though.
its a phase for most people...including these Coli kids.

Anyone that stays like that either learns to make money off their people (I.E. buy my book/listen to my speech about white supremacy)...or they stay broke in the hood complaining about how everyone else is lost.

Is that what you think of self conscious people.

Seems like he just got salty because Cube didn't do an album wit him

I'd bet money Cube didn't distance himself from Khalid because of the murder attempt... he more than likely hit Khalid wit sum bullsh!t industry talk like "yeah we need to do a whole album together" and Khalid started to annoy Cube about really getting something cracking not knowing that it was just "bullsh!t industry talk"

You saw it to, huh.

I mentioned the same thing in a Pac thread last week

As you said, Cube was just going through a phase, and trying to tap into a market that was in demand at the time.
