i feel like countless black people have dropped science since we first interacted with these cacs.

black people just aren't serious. nikkas wanna party and feel good. the discipline it takes to challenge white supremacy is too much.

Norfeast groovin…
It was also just bad optically. Most people only take the thug and not the revolution aspects from him. Which is something that has frustrated me for years. How many people who emulate pac do it for his revolutionary ideas?

I get that he took the whole sugar pill approach to avoid being preachy and tried to meet folks in the middle but it didn't work in the end. most people missed the point which means his message missed the mark.

Actually, Pac’s Thug Life ideals was rooted in Panther ideals. Oftentimes, the BPP recruited people from at risk communities who would otherwise be labeled as “thugs” or “hoodlum” in an attempt to radicalize them. In the book Stokley Speaks, Stokley Carmichael/Kwame Ture argued that out of all the groups of Black people in America the ones whom would be most passionate, the most militant/revolutionary, and the most uncompromising would be the “lumpen proletariat” or in other words your round the way thug nikkaz.

It didn’t work for Pac because he got in too deep with the wrong types and it got him killed. You could also argue that given that the FBI would be familiar with this strategy from the COINTELPRO days it would be the same situation where they simply criminalize the individual and have their message more tied to criminality thanks to various channels through media, the people surrounding Pac (Henchmen, Tut, Jack, real criminals and FBI informants), and destroy the political viability of Thug Life becoming a mass youth movement which they pretty much did.

It’s still a brilliant philosophy, but it had no chance since he died too soon before really spreading that message.

#ADOS
Of course Tone Talks already hating on this cause cube didn’t mention him, Yvette or the hashtag smh....
Im curious myself. Why are bp always trynna reinvent the wheel? Is Cube an economist now? No disrespect to him, but his lane is not public policy. His lane is to make the shyt pop to the hood.

Id rather he make ados policy pop than this vague "black American" thing (assuming that he has not yet clarified who exactly he's talking about).

That shyt is robust as fukk and makes sense. I would throw in tax exempt status as well as no sales/salary tax or payroll tax for a black owned bidness.

That California Lifestyle ...
If there was going to be a commission or league voted in to present this and back it for black Americans . :ohhh:

Who would you vote in Coli Brehs /Brehettes ???:patrice:

I respect Cube but I dont think he should be the spokesperson but should be a leader amongst a group of leaders .

I'd personally vote for Keap and and Angela Rye .. maybe Tariq as a media or social spokesperson and Dr. Cornell West , Farrakhan , Mayor Willie Brown and Van

Jones . Toni Morrison maybe .. :francis:

And definitely Henry Louis Gates ..:salute:

If youre non - ados and even if you are , this is a must watch to grasp and understand the ADOS frustration and the being "patient" aspect of it .. we're already owed .

I know this post will get lost in the sauce ... Maybe someone will /thread it .

you repeated by exact sentiments my dude.

the point remains the same he didn't get it across to the people all the way right because most people who claim to be like Pac are emulating the hennessy and enemies aspects not the educator and builder mantra. the confusion came in him tying himself in with the wrong people even if he had the right intentions.

the people surrounding Pac didn't destroy the message. a lack of comprehension did. a message can live on if it is delivered. Nipsey died trying to do the same thing. Teaching many aspects of community building and it goes in vain if people can't play it forward. Those lessons ain't sticking as hard as the optics of just being a tough guy did. which to me is somewhat selective ignorance or downright cluelessness because they always remember pac shot the police, spit at the media, pac shyt on all the rappers but not Pac calling out Black violence, or Back teaching Black unity etc. I wouldn't say it was shut down by anyone when their messages were in music that is still widely accessible. People can still CHOOSE to have the message delivered IF THEY ARE RECEPTIVE.
