Take a listen to how Baba Gil explains how the media coverage slanted his view. Not to say Pac was Malcolm but anyone with a radical message and approach is bound to have that message twisted up because the vast majority of how we get our information is through resources which aren’t controlled by us.
It’s kind of a paradox, how do you get ahead within the system if it’s designed to work against that? Moreover, how do you keep people individuals in the community from falling in love with greater assimilation and acceptance in the White Oriented society? That’s important to ask because it’s that deep desire to get ahead, to succeed in a society against you, that often draws individuals into knowingly or sometimes even unknowingly working towards the goals of the outsider and against the goals of people within the community. There’s a great Rolling Stone interview recording where Pac says:
“I’m a product of a society that will openly tell me my life isn’t worth anything. Only way I can be a positive member of society is to add on to a white society.”
So to me, it seems as though Pac was very much aware of the potential futility of his attempts to help change things given his own history of FBI surveillance growing up but his sincere love for his people wouldn’t allow him to fully shift from his desire to help in the cause of Black people. Which brought the contradictions in life and the weaknesses needed to cut him down. Everything else was just a matter of amplifying images for emotional response as opposed to substance and context to provide intellectual contemplation.

Nah bruh, thanks to the efforts of Whites, a lot of Black immigrants come from places varying from lack of development to full blown anarchist states run by warlords. No one chooses to leave the only place they’ve ever known to go to a strange land where you don’t know the language and it’s run by the same white men whom had colonized and brutalized you back home? But it’s that, or stick around and let his c00n puppet dictator potentially murder you instead.
Same reason why they go to Europe. Because Europeans/White Americans have kept their countries underdeveloped and as such, they can either remain in extreme poverty or go to where your country’s wealth has been taken.
